Flour 360 g
Baking powder 20 g

Ground nutmeg 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Recipe from Bebiblog from Olga Koroleva (thank you very much !!!), I did not find anything like it on our HP, I decided to share it. I can say with confidence that the cake is extremely tasty, the carrots in it are almost impossible to recognize. I doubled the proportions of the ingredients from the original recipe.
  • So:
  • Three carrots on a fine grater, add the zest taken from two oranges to it. We do not squeeze carrots.
  • The butter must be melted and cooled.
  • Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.
  • Add carrots with zest.
  • Add vegetable and melted butter, salt and spices.
  • Add flour and baking powder.
  • You should get a mass of medium thick. I got a dough weighing 1824 g.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  • Bottom of the mold diameter 22 cm cover with parchment. Or grease with a thin layer of butter and dust with flour (French shirt). Divide the dough into 5 parts (360 g each).
  • We bake for 10 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees, then we reduce it to 180 and bake until tender, checking with a torch (the dough does not stick). On average, one cake is baked in 20 - 25 minutes. The cake is plump, springy and very aromatic. Cool each cake on the wire rack.
  • I collect cakes in a ring, as a result, the cake turned out to be about 10 cm high, 21 in diameter.
  • I used cream custard from Natapit, https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=272677.0 double rate, he came up very well here, but I halved the rate of oil.
  • Olga Koroleva advises adding a layer of cherries and a tablespoon of cocoa to the dough, I have not tried that yet.

The cake is fabulously delicious! Heavy in weight, but very delicate in taste, with a pronounced orange flavor and aroma. Try it, you won't regret it!
In the main photo, a cake baked in a 24 cm shape in 2 passes and cut into 4 cakes, so it is lower and wider than that described in the recipe.
The last time I baked 1 cake (5 layers in total) and in a form of a smaller diameter. It turned out better.

I decided to try this trendy carrot cake too. And just in the Cream Cakes Natasha put up her above mentioned charming winter cake.
I looked into the recipe, into the description ... everything turned out to be very tempting there and I decided!
I have a 19cm shape and I made 6 cakes (I baked two cakes at a time)
Honestly, it was too confused for me ... to monitor the temperature every run. 200 ° - 10 min, then 180 ° -15 min ...
somehow I didn't like it at all ... I spent 1.5 hours only baking! The sight of the cakes also did not cause delight ... I was slightly upset ..
But the matter had to be completed already!
Sour cream custard made a double norm, for me it turned out to be a lot. 1.5 norms will be the most for my taste.

And so today we tried it!

I'm happy with the result (although I didn't expect it at all).
Taste unusual, highly interesting ... Cake juicy... Unambiguously stands out from the usual cakes for its bright aroma of spices... Sour cream custard is perfect here.
I will definitely bake again!
