Stew with beans in a jar

Ingredients

Any meat. I have elk about 500gr.
dry beans, white, red. about 100 gr.
salt 0.5 tsp.
feather black peas 3-4 pcs. per can
Bay leaf 1 PC. per can
jars with lids 250 ml.

Cooking method

  • My husband is a hunter in the second generation, when I married his mother-in-law, mine cooked stew in the old "grandfather's" way with a large saucepan on the stove for 5-6-8 hours. With the introduction of the multicooker-pressure cooker, I have improved this process. Now I put the meat in a jar and immediately tighten the lid tightly, because otherwise the water will get inside ...
  • So, we take any piece of meat, any, since I only have elk, I cook everything from it, and stew too. We cut the meat into pieces, as large as desired, but! it must be remembered that the meat will boil down and become smaller in volume. Stir in a bowl with washed, not necessarily soaked, beans.
  • Stew with beans in a jar
  • Pour 0.5 tsp on the bottom of a clean empty jar. salt, put 3-4 peppercorns, one bay leaf each.
  • Stew with beans in a jar
  • We put meat and beans in the jars, tightly, without fanaticism, of course, tamping, we put it to the very top.Stew with beans in a jar tightly close the jars with lids.
  • Put a rag on the bottom of the multicooker bowl, put the jars in the multicooker, place 6 250g. jars, now pour cold water from the tap into the cartoon bowl. We include on the program Meat, time 1.5 hours. Turn off the heating.
  • After the end of the program, let the pressure drop by itself, take out our jars. Our stew is ready. You can make a stew from meat alone. It turns out to be soft, the meat was cooked in its own juice, without adding water. I like this jar and then fry with onions in a pan
  • Bon Appetit!!!

The dish is designed for

6 jars of 250g.

Olekma !!! Such a necessary recipe !!! But the multicooker is different for everyone. And the pressure inside too. So I want to try and it's very scary that the jar can explode and damage the multicooker. What pressure do you have, don't you know? Cooking temperature?

Great recipe! How much water do you pour?

Thanks for attention. I honestly don't know what the pressure is in Brand, but I cook stew in the same way both in Moulinex Minute Cook CE400032 and in Oursson-5005, the time is about the same, and everything turns out equally well. What kind of slow cooker do you have?

Olekma, that is, you make this stew in a pressure cooker? One and a half hours in meat mode. Very tempting. And the beans are ready-made too? I will definitely try, thanks. It's a bit tough with elk now, I'll take prefabricated meat "all over the world." Happy New Year to you!

Yes, exactly in multicooker-pressure cookers, one and a half hours on the Meat mode or at high pressure.
And you a Happy New Year!

Olekma, thanks for the recipe.Tell me, how to store such jars? And how many?
I have these jars in my closet at home until they run out ... they've been standing for more than six months. You can store it in the basement, I just can't run it far behind every jar, so I keep it that way.

Try it, I think it won't work.

Olekma, Katerina, do you think it is possible to cook meat like this on the Jellied mode? It is long lasting in itself.
