Danish buns

Ingredients

Flour OK. 425 g
Water 300 ml
Coarse salt 1.5 tsp.
Butter 200 g
Yeast 50 g
Glazing egg 1 PC.
Poppy

Cooking method

  • Stir the yeast in ice water. Add egg and salt. Gradually adding flour, knead the dough. It should be soft enough. Knock it out and mix it thoroughly. Allow 15 minutes to distance.
  • Roll out the dough into a large square.
  • Roll the cooled butter between two layers of parchment to a thickness of 1 cm. Put the butter on the center of the square at an angle of 45 °. Reduce the formed free corners in the middle. Roll out the dough lightly and fold in three layers.
  • Allow 15 minutes to rest in the refrigerator.
  • Repeat rolling and steeping 3-4 times.
  • After the last spreading, divide the layer in half lengthwise. Roll each of them to a size of 25x40 cm. Then roll each piece along the long side so that the dough lies in a section in three layers. Cut each roll crosswise into 7-8 pieces. give another 20 minutes to distance.
  • Grease buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  • Bake on the lower rack at 200 ° for 18-20 minutes

Lina, the buns turned out to be just super. The husband ate during the day (he loves to chew at night). I also really liked the bun - I got only one.
lina
Thank you, I'm glad that you and your family liked it. I also got only one

This mess!
I look at such beautiful buns at night and drool flows! It is necessary to sleep - and here it is !!!
Cat
Ha, and I baked them again last night - to work. Butter was the last pack, so strangled by a green amphibian, I put "Pyshka" in buns - it didn't matter at the exit (I managed to snatch half a bun from my night owl husband)! So you can safely use margarine for baking - the rolls only become more magnificent. True, the dough did not dissolve in the refrigerator, but in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Lina, thanks again, at work the rolls flew away at the speed of a supersonic plane.

Eat to your health!
It should be tasty without sugar, as bread. I have to make all the buns sweet
GruSha
Lina, I put sugar in too ... I think it's tastier with sugar

I want to make my own adjustments to this wonderful recipe:
1. The water must be ice cold
2. kneading mode: dumplings, you can take out the finished dough after 12-15 minutes.

Stir the yeast in ice water.

2. agree! at that time I still did not really taste the "pelmeni" mode.
Cat
Lina, this is one of my favorite recipes.
Thank you !!!!!!

An interesting recipe!
Is there a step by step photo? otherwise I can't figure out how to spread butter
lina
there are no step-by-step photos and will not be, I am not friends with this. Spread the oil in the middle, and then collect the corners with a konvetik, that is, the upper right with the lower left, the upper left with the lower right are connected.
here, I stole a photo from the topic about napkins https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...on=com_smf&topic=24370.20

Lina! Cool explanation on napkins (in the morning on Saturday I’m probably the only one at work, so on the air, the others are asleep ...), I’ll also have to figure out such buns as I’ll get home ... tomorrow
Masya
Thanks to Lina for the photo. The process is clear, I went to do it!

I also tried to bake Danish buns according to Lina's recipe. The recipe turned out to be difficult for me, maybe I did something wrong ?! After the second rolling, the dough broke, everything and everyone was in oil, and another 9 month old baby was underfoot requiring attention. In addition, I forgot to put sugar - the buns turned out to be bland, and I really wanted something sweet for tea (I twisted it with powdered sugar). For myself, I decided that I needed to do one thing or watch the child, or do baking. Here's how it went:
