Ingredients

chicken breast 400 gram
brown rice 250 grams
bulb onions 2 pieces
carrot 1 large
water 600 gram
salt, spices for pilaf taste
vegetable oil 2 tablespoons

Cooking method

  • Cut the breast into small pieces.
  • Onions - small cubes.
  • Carrots - straws.
  • Pour rice with water and boil for 5 minutes in the microwave.
  • Rinse with hot water.
  • Heat the oil on the "Fry" function.
  • First fry the breast, then fry the onions and carrots with it.
  • Put rice on top, salt, add salt and spices.
  • Pour out the water.
  • Close the lid.
  • Cook on the "Pilaf" function for 1 hour.
  • And hold it for two hours on the "Heating".

I went through the fear with the recipe, because I have never cooked pilaf from brown rice, and never cooked in a slow cooker in the "Pilaf" mode)))
I poured 600 ml of water, there was a lot of it (as it seemed to me), I was afraid that there would be soup)))
An hour later there was no more water, but pilaf was in bulk, I was afraid that we would not eat everything)))
BUT ... During dinner, my husband and I kept it all down and did not blink an eye - VERY TASTY! We did not stand for 2 hours on heating))
I added red pepper, garlic, curry to the recipe. THANK YOU!
