Lenten Sweets: Halva

Ingredients

Unfried sunflower seeds 150gr
honey 1h l.

Cooking method

  • Great Lent began. By chance, on the Internet, on a fairly well-known site, I found interesting lean recipes for sweets. So a very simple recipe that requires a minimum of products, effort and time from us.
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva
  • We take 150g. unroasted peeled seeds. Preheat the pan. Dry! Pour the seeds in a frying pan and lightly fry them, stirring constantly, so that they do not burn, the further taste of halva depends on the degree of roasting. If the seeds are fried hard, you get a very beautiful brown color, but the halva will acquire the taste of unrefined sunflower oil. So it's not for everybody.
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva
  • I fried the seeds a little, then to disinfect the seeds I drove them through the microwave at the maximum, literally 1 minute, but this option is not required! Let the seeds cool.
  • We give a bowl for grinding to a blender, pour the cooled seeds into it.
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva
  • Grind the seeds until the seeds release oil, this is up to 1.5-2 minutes, or it can be easier to determine by their appearance, at first the seeds fly merrily throughout the capacity of the grinder, then the masa sits down, the sound of the blender changes - it becomes tighter, from below a dense wet layer is formed, and the mixture itself adheres to the walls, this is clearly visible from the outside.
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva
  • We add 1 teaspoon of honey, sweetness is enough for me, but if you want sweeter, then 2 teaspoons I hope will suit the "father of Russian democracy." The honey is now shriveled and this is good, it perfectly binds the already sticky fatty mass. We rake the mass to the center, and at low speed in the same bowl, mix the mixture with a blender. For those who like the chocolate flavor, you can add one or two teaspoons of cocoa (no sugar).
  • We sculpt balls from the resulting mass. We sculpt with our hands, put a teaspoon, with a small slide, of the resulting mass - in our hand, squeeze it well,
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva
  • then with fingers, with pressure we form balls
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva they didn’t skate with me, so we shape them carefully with our fingers and we will be happy!
  • To make them stronger, you can put them in the refrigerator.
  • Lenten Sweets: Halva
  • It is better to put it in the refrigerator, it takes longer to go there than to take it from the table, otherwise it ends quickly

Note

Tasty, healthy, but very high in calories! Do not forget 100g of seeds contains (data from the packaging of these seeds, there is evidence that there may be more fat, depending on the specific seeds): protein 20.7g, fat 52.9g, carbohydrates 10.5, plus some carbohydrates from honey, energy value about 600 kcal! But fats - sunflower oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (about 68% is linoleic acid). And also 100 grams of seeds cover 130% of the daily requirement of an average person for vitamin E (which is especially rich in sunflower), 70% for vitamin B5, 40% for vitamin B6, 35% for vitamin B3, 39 % In protein, 44% in fiber, 115% in phosphorus, 113% in selenium, 92% in copper, 35% in zinc, 32% in magnesium, 24% - in potassium, 21% - in iron. In general, eat for HEALTH, but know when to stop!
I suggest, our esteemed moderator, for the duration of Lent, open a separate topic: lenten sweets. Fasting is fasting, but you want something sweet!

I just thought, honey can easily be replaced with invert syrup, there is such a recipe for Tumanchik, just in case I give a link https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...on=com_smf&topic=440632.0

Olesya, the main thing is not to interrupt the sunflower flavor. To health
Tumanchik
An excellent option for halva. The syrup is perfect, you need less current. it is more liquid.
I also have a recipe for halva, but I have to conjure it up. and here it looks like a peanut butter recipe. great why not
Mandraik Ludmila
Tumanchik, one or two teaspoons will definitely not hurt: from the seeds, the mass turns out to be dense, with shrunken honey - heavy and a little crumbly - not rolling, but with liquid syrup it will be more elastic and most likely will just roll in the palms. If you do, write down what happened, I wonder ..

Light, thank you, only crushed pumpkin seeds in large quantities are a good anthelmintic agent, including due to a strong laxative effect, it is certainly good for dumping too much, but very radical and with the addition of a banana, so in general there will be a "thermonuclear" effect, like on that site - losing weight is easy, but it's still not worth it

Wow, I didn't even know about it. What really works, and what does banana enhance? Which of the properties?
Mandraik Ludmila
Irina, laxative property, will cleanse qualitatively!
Just do not forget that with this method of cleansing and losing weight, a lot of water and various useful microelements, especially potassium salts, are excreted from the body, which leads to oppression of the heart, the entire muscular system ... up to cramps in general!
You have to be careful with such products. Just half-spitting pumpkin seeds is one thing, but a lot of crushed pumpkin seeds at once is a serious laxative!
