Pickled cucumbers (for Zigmund & Shtain MC-DS42IH)

Ingredients

You need 1 liter. bank:
Cucumbers cut into rings about 550 gr.
Salt 6 gr.
Ground black pepper 1/3 tsp
Dried dill 1 pinch
Caraway seeds 1 tsp
Bulb onions 20 gr.
Water 300 ml.
Apple cider vinegar 6% 100 ml.

Cooking method

  • 1) Wash the cucumbers and cut into rings 1-1.5 cm wide.
  • 2) Cut the onion into small cubes.
  • 3) Add salt, pepper, dill, cumin, onion to the cucumbers and stir.
  • 4) Put the prepared cucumbers in a jar (I have a glass lid from IKEA).
  • 5) Put our jar in a multicooker and pour cold water into the bowl "shoulder-length" of the jar. Take out the jar, and turn on the multicooker to the "Sterilization" mode for 30 minutes. In the first 10 minutes, the water will heat up.
  • 6) Pour water into a ladle, boil, add vinegar and remove from heat.
  • 7) Gently pour the marinade into the jar. It is better to do this in portions so that the jar does not burst from a sudden change in temperature. (Although the ikeev banks are very strong)
  • Place the jar in boiled water (do not close the lid) and leave it in it for the remaining 20 minutes to sterilize.
  • 9) Remove the jar from the multicooker, close the lid and wrap the jar with a towel so that it cools down as slowly as possible.
  • 10) After cooling down, put the jar in the refrigerator. You can eat it in 2-3 weeks.

And you are absolutely right!
But now the cucumbers have been eaten and I am 100% sure that the recipe is successful!
Just 200% lucky!
So bookmark it before harvesting season. I will certainly repeat this recipe!
This recipe from Raisa Savkova is called "Pickled gherkins". Of course, we are talking about small cucumbers. But I did not have such, but large ones were available. So, I used the recipe I liked from her book "Canning. 60 Recipes You Don't Know Yet".
