Quince-lemon jam with nuts (Multicuisine DeLonghi)

Ingredients

Quince (unpeeled) 1.5KG
Large lemon (with zest) half
Sugar 650 g
Water 250 ml
Nuts (I have almonds, hazelnuts, cashews) 2 handfuls

Cooking method

  • I want to share the recipe for my favorite from childhood jam.
  • I came across an absolutely wonderful ivushka. Well, where is it, if not in jam, which I have already missed since last year.
  • I didn't want to stand near the stove at all, so my beloved came to the rescue again Kuzka.
  • So what I did: I thoroughly washed the quince with a brush and soap, and also rinsed it well in running water.
  • Half a large lemon, along with the zest, was cut into small pieces (first, the lemon is cut into circles, then the circles are cut in half, and these very "halves" are cut across, like straws).
  • I put the sliced ​​lemon in a bowl, poured 250 ml of water and mixed.

  • Now - quince: I never peel it. It seems to me that the skin is the most fragrant in it. Therefore, after washing, I cut it into 4 parts and take out the middle with the seeds. After cleaning, the net weight of the quince turned out to be 1350 grams, and I "pushed off" from them, calculating the amount of sugar (50% of the weight of the fruit). To prevent the quince from darkening, all peeled quarters should lie in water.
  • Then everything needs to be done as quickly as possible, and in this the Alligator vegetable cutter helped me out. By hand, while you cut, the whole quince will darken, but here - knock-knock and you're done. She cut on an insert of 9 mm.

  • Put the quince in a large bowl, or you can go straight to Kuzka (in a bowl with a stirrer), pour water with lemon and mix well with your hand - lemon water will not let the quince darken. It seemed to me that mixing in a bowl is more convenient.
  • That's it, close Kuzka and turn on the Multicooker mode, power level - 4, time - 50 minutes (this is the total cooking time). In this mode, the stirrer starts rotating after 3 minutes (this is for those who do not know what an "instruction" is ... like me)
  • After 20 minutes, the quince steamed quite well, became soft, but kept its shape:

  • Now it's time for sugar: I added it to the quince and mixed it a little with a silicone spatula so that it quickly dispersed.
  • Now attention! I got the jam with very little syrup. Hot - nothing, but after cooling down, there was very little syrup - the jam thickened. If you like the same, close Kuzka's lid and go about your business. But if you like jam more "syrupy", I'm not afraid of this word, then pour more water directly onto the sugar, for example, another glass, or even two. I will probably do so next time. Perhaps, in this case, you will also have to add sugar. Let's see which jam you like best.
  • So, we leave our Kuzka alone for the remaining 30 minutes. She is an independent girl with us, and we will only interfere with her and with advice to climb.
  • That's it, the program is over, the jam is ready!

  • I gave him another hour and a half or two to stand - to rest and cool down. And only then, in the already slightly warm jam, I added two large handfuls of nuts.

(Irka gave the kil, and the Gzhel service was given by Manka. Tell me, I got a good job.)
  • In addition, it’s night, everyone is asleep, you don’t need to share with anyone ... Well, what else is needed for happiness!
