Pancakes "Air" with buttermilk

Pancakes Airy with buttermilk

Ingredients

Buttermilk 300-350 ml *
Wheat flour 200 grams
Egg 1 PC.
Sugar 1-2 tbsp. l.
Salt 0.25 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Vegetable oil (I have ghee **) 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Beat the egg until frothy.
  • Add buttermilk, butter, sugar, salt to the bowl and beat until sugar dissolves.
  • Sift flour with baking powder.
  • Pour flour into the buttermilk and egg mixture and mix thoroughly, breaking the lumps.
  • Let the dough rest for 15 minutes and bake the pancakes in a well-heated pan (pancake maker), greasing the surface with oil, spreading the dough with a tablespoon.

  • At first glance, the pancakes seem thin, but in fact they turn out to be soft, very plump, airy in the middle.

Note

* The amount of buttermilk will depend on the quality of the flour. The dough should be of such consistency that 1 tbsp. l. the dough spread into a pancake 6–7 cm in diameter.
** I used ghee softened in the microwave.
