Ingredients

ketchup (I have Hines) 140 g
vinegar 9% 50 g
sugar 90 g
ground chili pepper 0.5 h l
salt 1/4 h l
water 120 g
Bay leaf 1
garlic 1-2 cloves
bulb onions 1 PC
vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp
ground paprika 1/4 h l
smoked paprika 1/4 h l
pork 1 kg

Cooking method

  • Despite the large number of ingredients, everything is quite simple and quick to do. First, on Ree Drummont's website, I found a recipe for meatballs with barbecue sauce. I really liked the taste and since then I have been making meatballs with it. And when I came across a recipe for ribs with a similar sauce, I decided to try it too and never regretted it. The composition and proportions are slightly different, but the essence is the same. Worcestershire sauce gives a special taste and this time I replaced some of the ground paprika with smoked paprika. I think that next time I will completely replace it with smoked one.
  • So...
  • Chop the onion. Mix all ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Strain the sauce through a sieve. In half the sauce, marinate the washed and chopped meat. The longer it marinates, the tastier. Put in a multi-oven and cook on oven setting on level 4 for 15 minutes. The meat began to brown actively, so I turned it over and reduced the power to level 2 and cooked for another 20 minutes. The scent was breathtaking. Serve with the leftover sauce, if not eaten with bread while waiting
