Fanta from oranges and apricots at home

Ingredients

The ingredients are given for one 3-liter can we need
apricot 0.5 l jar (peeled)
orange 3-5 circles
lemon 2-3 circles
sugar 1 glass
boiling water

Cooking method

  • Prepare 3 liter cans and seaming lids. Wash and sterilize in a way convenient for you.
  • Wash the apricots, cut into halves and remove the pits.
  • Oranges and lemons well, with a brush, wash under running water. Place in a bowl and pour boiling water over. After 1-2 minutes, drain the hot water, and wipe each oranges and lemons well with a napkin or cloth. This is done to remove wax deposits.
  • Cut oranges and lemons into slices. I cut on the bladeless insert of the Berner (Prima) grater at the greatest thickness. You can cut a little thicker.
  • Pour peeled apricots and oranges and lemons cut into slices into each jar.
  • Add 1 cup sugar to each jar.
  • Pour boiling water over and roll up.
  • Shake or roll each can well to completely dissolve the sugar.
  • Wrap well until it cools completely. My cans stood for 2 days under a fur coat (old) and a wadded blanket.
  • The final photo shows Fanta made from early apricots.
  • And this Fanta made yesterday, from medium-sized apricots. They are more aromatic, fleshy and larger than the early ones. Let's see and compare with which Fanta will be tastier.

Note

Hot days have set in, and so I want pure fruit coolness. Not purchased, stuffed with chemistry, but natural and useful. And here wonderful recipes come to the rescue, simple and easy, which we can cook at home, with our own hands.

Nelya is definitely bookmarked! Just class! Thank you!
V-tina
Nelya, wonderful recipe thanks
nila
Irina, Tina, I will be glad if you like this Fanta. All the same, it is much more useful than the store one.
Well, until I tell you how to taste, I tried it myself for the first time.
Although the recipe has been with me for several years, I haven't seen the apricot for 4 years. That year I wanted to do it from the purchased ones, but when I looked at the price, which was for apricots that year, that it was too expensive to buy “for food”, I decided to postpone this matter.
And finally this year they waited
Shyrshunchik
We have such prices, just to eat. 1.5 dollars are the cheapest apricots, and I found lemons for the same amount yesterday, for lemon jam.
Mandraik Ludmila
Nelya, I'll go tomorrow to buy fruits according to the list I really want to try, my mouth is already drooling. To bookmarks
nila
Tatyana, we have cheap apricots this year. Thank God they waited, I took oranges at a bargain price, the end of the season for them. They are always cheap with us at this time. Lemons, yes, the price is not humane. But I took the 2nd grade, a little cheaper. There you need only a couple of lemons and enough for 4-6 cans.

Ludmila, and you can buy apricots? Probably, half-ripe is delivered to you, which then matures, already on the shelves. Of course the aroma is not the same, but I think it will go for seaming.
Mandraik Ludmila
Nelya, and approximately how many by weight peeled apricots should be bought to get half a liter of peeled apricots. And peeled, is it pitted or should you also remove the skin?
We do not grow apricots, unfortunately, but I love them, very, very much, and sometimes I pamper myself, my son is more about peaches, and mush - he generally only eats his own from the bush, so only our berries, apples and pears
TATbRHA
Freeze apricots; lemons and oranges (2-5 circles each!) are on sale all year round, as well as sugar ... just as boiling water is not a problem. And we make a drink whenever we want, in winter. And don't stand at the stove in the heat! And we don’t spend money on lids, electricity or gas, and water on washing cans ... And we save our energy and time ... And we don’t decay the last vitamin from long storage. Do not agree? I apologize. I never understood "canning water".
nila
Ludmila, remove only the bones. You do not need to remove the skin. And I won't even say by weight. I have a lot of apricots, and I put the apricot without regret, more than a 0.5 liter jar. I have a small stainless steel bowl, I threw 500 grams onto the scales (weight with the bowl).
The bone is not heavy, it will not pull a lot of weight.
Tatyana, it is everyone's choice - to make or not to make such preparations.
I, too, with the appearance of a large chest in the house, practically stopped making rolls with fruits and vegetables. Yes, and the drying has ceased to dry, Veterok is practically idle. I froze such apricots a lot this year of mine, and that year I bought and froze them (only very little, barely enough for pies and soufflé), this year it will be enough for Fanta, and for jam, and for food. But then I also wanted to roll up some water ... this is my whim
And not everyone can make large reserves of freezing. Someone, in the old fashioned way, stands in the heat at the stove and tries to make at least some supplies. And in winter it is not necessary to boil the volume of water that we boil in summer? Same gas / electricity consumption.
Covers yes ... I agree! Moreover, they are now also worth a lot ... but if you look at it, then you shouldn't do much at all.
Elya_lug
nilaHow funny: Fanta from apricots! Take note, thanks. And I only make tarragon from apricots. There are so many apricots underfoot, this year there are record harvests. I like canning compotes, it is more convenient and tastier for me, and the freezer is not rubber.
Zhannptica
Here is a completely different taste of the "fresh" compote and the present .., I'm for a phantom !!!! Class !!

Tanya, don't be mischievous! the recipe is good! and who has so much fruit that they fall asleep? and the freezer is not rubber? why not roll it up? and there is no need to bother with a big holiday. opened the jar and poured it, but not finishing another dish on the list! I took it to bookmarks!

My neighbor always told my mom - why canned water? Here is the jam with water, and here is the compote for you. My mother, who always made more than 100 3L cans of compote for the winter, grinned - well, drink water with jam, and we'll be out of cans. I grew up and began to roll myself up and say that we don't have any frozen berries, and compote from cans is a hundred times tastier. Even now I pick fresh cherries, strawberries, currants, gooseberries, but the taste is not the same. Girls, be sure to close the cans and sweat by the stove, it's a glorious job!

I am for compotes if there is storage space.
The recipe is interesting and affordable, I will definitely try it.
Lids are now, like shoe polish, there are constant promotions on them, is the price of 2-3 cents per piece of ogogo?
Katenysh
Thanks for the interesting recipe! I will definitely try!

There are no problems with the covers, and they cost a little. I love printed lids to match the print to the product. I have tomatoes under tomato lids, pears under pear ones, etc. And even a child can open the jar, which my brother and I did when my parents were not at home. But getting frozen berries and boiling is unlikely.
I ought to buy apricots ...

Yes, compote is tastier from cans, it is rich,: girl_claping: and the berries in the freezer lose their sweetness, take plums, apricots, cherries, they become sour. I like to freeze the mashed potatoes with apricots adding bananas then sugar is not needed, and how the ice cream turns out. But mine no longer want to drink, as in childhood, neither rolled compotes nor immediately cooked, sometimes they drink jelly. I have one less dish to cook. Yes, and I freeze the berries very small and the jam does not go very well with us, I do not have a sweet tooth.
Ptah
I love compotes in banks! I love closing jars with anything! A very cute recipe. Nelechka, thanks for the idea. I took it to the tabs. If possible, I will try to make the forfeits so tasty.
nila
A whole discussion here of supporters and opponents of seaming compotes.
Girls, no need to argue, there are many of us and we are all different, and everyone has different tastes and opportunities. There are housewives who do not prepare a single jar for the winter. What for ? If you can buy everything in stores all year round
Elya, I also like compotes from seaming more, but I love those compotes that are not sterilized, but simply filled with boiling water.
About Tarhun interesting! I was once given a recipe, but I never did, and the recipe got lost.
Jeanne, absolutely agree with you. Seaming compotes have a completely different, rich taste. We are not lovers of compotes in winter, and I practically do not cook them. But the husband can sometimes open a bottle of seaming and drink with pleasure. Yes, and it is always convenient for guests to serve such a compote
Irina, we also have the center. the market has such a budget line, where you can always buy budget citrus fruits and bananas for baking, I often graze there.
Inna, we also have a relative for whom tea / coffee does not exist, and she drinks only compotes. For her, compote is also jam cracked in a cup of water ... brrrr.
I really liked your idea of choosing a print for the product. I didn't even think that you can do this.
svetlana, I put the appropriate emoticon about the "ogogo" covers. I stopped taking covers for the action, I love and try to take only Gospodarochka. The price for it has always been higher than other caps, but I like it in the twist and the way it behaves in the basement. Our basement is damp, and seaming can take more than one year. Some types of lids begin to deteriorate in the first year of storage. And the key sometimes starts to resist on untested types of caps. And the Lord never let me down.
Tatyana, I will sign under your every word, I will not repeat myself!
And special thanks for the idea of freezing apricot and banana puree! I have to run after the bananas, the apricots are almost running out.
Larissa,Katenysh, close, try the compote in the form of Fanta and I will wait for impressions from you))))

Nelechka, all my life I have closed compotes just like that. And I keep them at home in a Moscow apartment. Normal - do not explode. Last year, it was covered with apples, plums and pears. In the old days, even grapes were covered with twigs. You open it for the new year - here's a compote, here's a grape twig. But the fantasy in this version did not occur to me. Great recipe. I will definitely try it.
nila
Larisochka, yes, such compotes, just filled with boiling water, are much richer and their taste is more natural.
The main thing is to wrap such a compote well in a warm blanket and keep it warm. And they will be stored even in the apartment

And a minimum of physical costs. This has always inspired me too. The main thing is to wash the fruit well, wash and sterilize the jars and lids. And then it's a matter of technology. Jar, fruit, sugar, boiling water, roll up the lid. Well, then wrap it up well (needless to say).

So I agree

I also noticed: sometimes the noname lids do not close, it’s not the key's fault, these lids are shorter than necessary, they don’t catch on the side of the can. They will save a couple of mm of metal so that they were empty
nlili
nila, thanks for the recipe, just in time - in the apricot season!
started looking for such a recipe - and he was right there,
I also heard that they add a sprig of mint to such a compote - have you tried it?
nila
Lily, with mint it will be a completely different recipe. Closer to Tarhun. I think a set of taste here without mint will be sufficient, more citrusy. Mint can overpower this taste.
But this is a matter of taste for everyone, if you really respect mint, then why not

Elechka, how did I miss your Fanta? I was completely worn out, I rarely go in and do not check my mail.
The bottle looks great, I hope it will please us in winter too!
Elya_lug
Nelya, thanks, let it insist until winter

I closed two jars for testing, but then out of nowhere appeared apricots as a present, so after 1.5 weeks of infusion, it was decided to try the resulting product in order to decide how to process the apricots that appeared. So about the taste: for me, the amount of sugar is ideal, since the lemon was small, then I put as many as 4 circles on the jar, as a result, the lemon interrupted the whole taste. The result is a refreshing lemon drink. I don’t know how it will be in winter, but on a hot summer day we persuaded this jar very quickly. In a new batch, I put 2 thin mugs of lemon each, my jars are under a fur coat, they are warming up Thanks for such a timely and tasty recipe
nila
minali,
Natasha, it's great that you have already taken a sample of forfeits and thank you for sharing your taste.
I am glad that your family liked the fantasy. Now I still have to try the aged phantom.
It's good that they planted such an apricot present, our apricots are almost gone.
I, too, now need a present as an apricot, I am going to visit the Crimea and asked to bring the apricot to eat. Yesterday I went around the whole bazaar, the apricot is gone. I barely found it, but I do not know how they will withstand the transportation.
Elya_lug
Nelya, Come to me, I’m just starting to sing late, and I don’t want to blend.
nila
I told my girlfriend about the recipe for forfeits. She was very interested in them, but they have a complete bummer with apricots in Crimea this year. For a long time she did not think, dragged me to the market, we bought Crimean peaches and made a phantom from peaches. I don’t know how it tastes yet, but I don’t know the taste of forfeits with apricots. We will try, compare and exchange flavors before skype.
But I think that it should be very tasty with peaches. At first I caught fire and thought upon arrival and I will do this option for myself. But when I appreciated disaster results filling the cellar with juices, I decided to postpone the experiment until next year.
I am writing, maybe someone will like this option more))))))
Ptah
nila, Nelechka, I had exactly the same situation. While I was going to make a phantom with apricots, they safely disappeared in all stores. But I really wanted to cook your recipe. So I made a phantom with peaches and nectarines. Here is my report ....

Fanta from oranges and apricots at home

P.S. The photo was taken with a phone, I apologize for the quality of the photos.
nila
Birdie, I'm sorry I didn't answer right away. Now it is rare to go to the forum, but I just looked through the mail for how long and saw a notification from the topic.
Lorik, I think that with apricots you will make Phanto next season.
Well done that I decided and did with peaches, and even with nectarines. I think it should be very tasty and healthy. I really hope that your little grandchildren will appreciate this drink and kiss their grandma once again for the delicacy he has prepared!
Ptah
nila, Nelechka !!! I'm bringing you another report. According to your recipe "Fanta from oranges and apricots at home", one of my jars "decided that it was time to try it." The lid swelled slightly, and I decided to open the jar. I sin on the screw cap, I had to throw it away, but I was greedy, I used it not for the first time. I tried it - I liked it very much!
But I haven't calmed down on this recipe of yours. I have itching ... ... And according to your recipe I closed another option - grapes + kiwi + lemon.
Here is the report. The fruits are already different, but the cooking technology is completely as described in the recipe for you. Thanks again for the recipe.
Tatka1
Nelechka, thanks for the recipe! There will be apricots this year, so I will definitely try

Nelyaand how did I miss such a recipe? This year I will definitely try it! Thank you!

nila, Nelya, thanks for the recipe, the apricots are already on sale, you can prepare a drink.

An interesting recipe, I took it in the bookmarks! Thank you!
nila
Tatka1, Rusalca, Eugene, Nadyushich,
Girls, thanks for stopping by Temka. Be sure to try this drink / compote. Now I, having tried, will close more jars. To what extent we are not lovers of winter compotes, but this one is gone.
And I also wrote here about my friend, who, in the absence of an apricot, made a phantom from peaches. So she is generally delighted. She says that the jars, as a present, were divided for the New Year between her sons and relatives. So the grandchildren said they still could not believe that there were no more jars, they went to the pantry and looked.
Vesta
I closed 6 cans for testing, 3 with apricots, 3 with peaches, let's see what happens. Thanks for the recipe!

nila, Nelechka, thanks for a new recipe for me
bought apricots, though they were "oak", waited 3 days)))
today I closed six 3-liter cans for testing, now they are still warming up under the blanket)
nila
Vesta,
Sveta, I hope that you will like what I closed for testing and next year you will repeat your test in large volumes!
Rusalca,
Anya, well, nifiga yourself, a mini cannery! The scope is amazing! I'm glad that I liked the drink. And with such volumes it will be enough for the whole winter, and serve on the festive table, and enjoy it yourself.
Elya_lug,
Elya, I was already smarter this year. That year, while the apricot was ripe, oranges were already gone from sale, and the lemons were also not of the same condition. So this year I bought oranges and lemons in advance, especially for this drink. I bought it at the bazaar at a very nice price.
space,
Lydia, the fact that there were oaky apricots is not scary. But if they are without sweetness, sourish, then you could add a little more sugar. But here you also need to be guided by your taste. For me, for example, a full glass of sugar was sweet. This year I laid down a little less. But my zabrikos are very sweet.
Under the blanket, wrapped up, let them stand until the jars cool.
