Pickled onions (for meat, fish or for a sandwich)

Ingredients

bulb onions 0.5 kg.
garlic 2 tooth.
vinegar 9% 2 tbsp. l.
vegetable oil 5 tbsp. l.
sugar 2 tsp
salt 1-1.5 tsp
Bay leaf 2 pcs.
black pepper, red 2-3 pcs.
dry parsley and dill by a pinch

Cooking method

  • Cut the onion into rings or half rings, if it is large (I have a very large one, one onion is 440 grams, it is better to take smaller ones - we will get neat rings).
  • Put the chopped onion into a plate, add dry parsley and dill, bay leaves, sugar, salt and pounded peppercorns, pour in the vinegar and mix well.
  • Peel and chop the garlic, fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. We take the garlic out of the oil and pour the onion with boiling oil. Once again, mix everything well and you can already eat. Store the remaining onions in the refrigerator.
  • Bon Appetit!

The dish is designed for

0.5 kg.

Time for preparing:

15 minutes

ABOUT! I also often pickle such an onion, it goes very well in salads
Tina, thank you for reminding

And I also pickle onions without vinegar, where vinegar replaces berry acid

Tatyana, yes, in salads, it also just fits perfectly, but somehow I'm closer to meat - fish, and I just love red onions so much, without any pickling, and with cranberries, it's just a feast for the belly

V-tina, wow, I will make my husband be sure!
Itself is not a fan of onions

Trishka

Omela
V-tina, and how much to keep in vinegar? I also want to try.)
V-tina
Omela, you can eat almost immediately, but store directly with vinegar, there is very little of it for such an amount of onion
Omela
Yes, not how much to keep in vinegar before pouring oil?
V-tina
I usually pour in vinegar and immediately start to fry the garlic, it's just more convenient, but you can mix and pour boiling oil right after the vinegar
Omela
Tina, I understood everything, thanks!)

I saw the recipe and just fired up to do it. No sooner said than done. The smell is awesome, and the taste .... no words. In two days, my husband diminished a liter can: girl-swoon: I didn't even have time to take a picture, I didn't think it would evaporate so quickly. So for the recipe THANK YOU VERY MUCH
V-tina
Anyuta, I am very glad that I liked the onion thanks for the feedback
