Blackcurrant and grape kissel with corn flour

Ingredients

Black currant and grape berries 200 g
Water 400 ml
Sugar 3 tbsp. l. or to taste
Fine corn flour 1 tbsp. l. with a slide

Cooking method

  • Boil the berries in water for about fifteen minutes. Then strain and pour into a cup a small amount of the broth, in which, after it has cooled, stir well the cornmeal. Bring the rest of the strained liquid to a boil, add sugar and, while stirring continuously over low heat, pour in the diluted flour in a thin stream. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened. It is tasty both hot and cold, and with milk.

Lorik! You read my thoughts from a distance! I was just thinking this morning, what else could I think of "such", where you can use corn flour! Thanks for the recipe and the chic idea, I could not even imagine that it is possible to cook jelly on it. And although there are no grapes yet, currants and other berries are available. I'll try!

Oh! how on time this recipe! I went to save the presents (a bowl of black currant) from my mother-in-law. so we can say we do not eat berries, there is no garden, not accustomed. and the flour ended today, only corn was left))). (it is also necessary to find application for rye and buckwheat).
I ran to cook jelly! ))))
did. Mine is still sour, I had to throw in even more sugar, maybe only from black currant.
Thank you. (although the work of the mother-in-law in picking berries was not lost.We will drink with pleasure!)
