Butter sponge cake with apples (charlotte variations)

Ingredients

Butter 200-250 gr
Sugar 1 st
Egg 4 things
Wheat flour, premium to a consistency of 20% sour cream
Baking powder 1 pack.
Sour apples 3-5 pcs
Salt ¼ h. L.

Cooking method

  • Beat soft butter with sugar until the latter dissolves, add 4 yolks, a package of baking powder and beat again with a mixer, gradually adding flour until the dough melts the consistency of 20% sour cream.
  • Separately beat the whites into a cool foam (you can use salt) and gently mix them into the resulting dough.
  • Wash the apples, peel them off, cut into wedges, place them on the bottom of a greased dish and pour the dough on top so that half the height of the baking sheet remains for raising the dough.
  • Place in a hot oven and bake until tender at 180-200 ° C.
  • We check the readiness by piercing the cake with a match.

The dish is designed for

4-6 servings of pie

Time for preparing:

Note

The number of apples to taste. I put 5 large ones. You can do more, can be less, with or without skin.
It tastes better with sour than sweet, best with Antonovka.
If you like it sweeter, add a handful of raisins. More acidic - add sour solid plum in pieces or sprinkle apples with lemon juice, at the same time they will not darken.
You don't need to put salt, there is enough acid from apples.
It tastes like a cross between a biscuit and a cake.
It rises well, is eaten instantly.
It is better to cut the chilled one and immediately prepare the second oven ..)))
