Jellied Pie with Raw Cabbage Filling

Ingredients

KEFIR (any thick fermented milk product, yogurt or low-fat sour cream is also good) 400 gr.
BUTTER 150-160 gr.
GRANULATED SUGAR 2 tbsp. l.
EGG 2 pcs.
FLOUR 280-300 gr.
BAKING POWDER 1.5 tsp.
SALT 0.5 tsp
WHITE CABBAGE taste

Cooking method

  • Cut the cabbage into large cubes ≈ 2x2 cm), add salt, gently mash to let the juice flow, close the lid and leave to stand while making the dough.
  • Add salt, sugar, kefir and beaten eggs to the melted butter. Add baking powder to the flour and, stirring, add gradually to the liquid base, achieving uniformity.
  • Grease a tall baking sheet or mold with butter, pour out about half of the dough, lay out and slightly flatten the filling, pour over the remaining dough. Let stand for about 10 minutes. Place in a hot oven and bake until tender at 200 ° C for about 30-35 minutes. Readiness can be checked by piercing the cake with a match.

Note

There should not be a larger dough of cabbage ..))) Let it stand so that the dough flows through the filling, so do not get carried away wiping away, the cabbage should remain "crumbly" so that the dough has a place to flow. If you overdo it or the cabbage is too juicy - add a raw egg to the filling, when baking it will "bind" the cabbage and prevent the pie from falling apart and crumble when slicing. And, yes, let it cool down before you cut it .. This is how cabbage pie is baked in Siberia, at least that's what my Siberian friend said ..))))

Tomorrow, if anything remains of the cake, I will take a picture in normal light ..))))))))))

Alexandra, I already have a collection of recipes for jellied pies with cabbage, I will take your recipe to the collection. Is it not very raw? Otherwise, all my "collection recipes" produce damp pies
Rada Bo
By no means, Ludmila

And it turns out not very raw
Quite a normal pie, not yeast dough, of course, but not phlegm, albeit very tender. In about 20 minutes I will cut it and take a picture so that the cut is visible. The only thing is that today it is not a standard one, I bake it in an unfamiliar gas oven, on a low baking sheet and without a thermometer ... For 45 minutes, instead of 30 ... The pie is ready, baked inside, but the "lid" is pale .. Though I greased it with oil .. Such an oven ..

I would love to get acquainted with some part of the collection ..)))

Alexandra, with this taiga recipe I had a joke, I baked this pie (only without tomato paste) and took it a little to the neighbors, and there an old grandmother ate and told her daughter that Luda put little sugar in this pie with lingonberries The thing is that before that I wore them pies with apples and lingonberries ... The neighbor's daughter tried it, and she came to me with a question, what kind of filling, it’s delicious, but if you don’t know from what, it’s not clear
Rada Bo
Wonderful, Ludmila! I will harass everything into small straws, mislead people ..)))

It's almost a "Broom" salad in composition ..)) Only the radish is not enough and the onion is removed ..)))) You can add honey and it will be a miracle how good the pie is!

I respect and love her, darling, in all forms, and pickled, and fresh in a salad, and fried, and stewed with sour cream, and in the form of a filling for pies with an egg, and even "with this "except that I don't like tomato with sausages ..))))) She has one minus, the same as that of garlic and peas ..))))))))

P.S. Today I also baked French bread in a bread maker

Rada Bo, Alexandra, my thanks for the pie. Baked in a tortilla. Half serving of Chinese cabbage tail. Not bad. Fast. Next time I'll add a boiled egg to the filling. I think it will be even tastier.

And baked this pie in the oven, and in a slow cooker, now the move has come to the Princesses. I like it very much, laconicism is akin to genius: no unnecessary body movements, not for long, not high in calories, deliciously unlimited! Somewhere Rada Bo disappeared a year ago, and so I would like to express my gratitude.
