Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmother

Ingredients

Round grain polished rice 1 mst. (160 ml)
Baked milk (!) 0,5 l
Water 0.4-0.5 l
Salt 1/4 tsp
Sugar 1-3 tsp
Butter ~ 30 g.

Cooking method

  • I.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherWe measure out 1 multi-glass of rice. There is no need to rinse. Pour into a bowl (I use a steel one). We choose round grain rice, not steamed.
  • II.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherPour baked milk to the rice. It is this that will give a rich stewed taste to porridge, like from an oven.
  • III.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherWe bring with water to the required volume of liquid. I measure with the same milk carton. Slightly incomplete package ~ 0.4 l gives risotto thickness - viscous but not too liquid. If you need a more liquid porridge, add 100 ml, a more dense one - subtract by 100 ml.
  • IV.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherSalt. I have indicated the minimum amount of salt. You can always add to the plate.
  • V.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherAdd sugar. Here everyone has their own norm. I have indicated a minimum that will simply emphasize the natural sweetness of the milk, but will not make the porridge sweet. More can be added for a sweet taste. I used cane sugar, but of course my grandmother put in plain white granulated sugar and put more of it in order to give a little sweetness, which many children like so much.
  • Vi.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherNow mix everything in a bowl.
  • Vii.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherAdd butter. Here, too, everyone has their own norm. I added about 2 tbsp. l. Homemade butter is welcome! Especially sour and creamy.
  • VIII.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherWe launch "Porridge" with preset parameters, ie 15 minutes with a pressure of 0.7. Close the valve! If you forget, everything will burn to a hairdryer! We leave it for the night with "Heating" so that you get tired well. Therefore, we set to cook porridge before bedtime. Yet porridge is supposed to be breakfast.
  • IX.Rice porridge in a pot from Arkina's grandmotherIn the morning - taa-daaa !!! - we get porridge, as if in a pot from the stove. And - magic! - we have a baked crust on top, well, like the truth from the oven! Therefore, we do not mix the porridge, but put it in bowls so that everyone gets the crust. Who loves liquid porridge, do not be intimidated by the crust, a viscous creamy porridge is hidden under it.

The dish is designed for

3-4 servings

Time for preparing:

night (6-8 hours)

Cooking program:

Heated Porridge

Note

It was this kind of porridge - from a pot, only sweeter and denser, that my grandmother fed me both in childhood and then, every time I came to her.
I haven't been traveling for several years, I can't. Now she comes, it just so happened.
I really miss my grandmother and her stove kitchen, of course ... So, from time to time I try to reproduce something.
Help yourself!

Svetlenki
Arochka, well, how smart you are! To adapt the recipe for grandmother's porridge from the stove to fit the toiler, which I also have her!

And also in the evening you can cook it in the morning. Fine!

Thank you dear. Necessarily a recipe for a pencil. As it gets colder - right away !!!

Nata, from the photo I see that you prefer a shiny cup ... I was surprised that it was not Teflon ... I clarify - do you have it alone or do you have more nra in it?
Reset
Nata, I love your grandmother! Another valuable recipe! Thank you both!
Arka
Svetlenki, thanks. I would be glad if it comes in handy.
My Teflon died long ago. I suspect he was an impostor.
I cook everything in steel, I love it! I also cook in ceramics, but only liquid, non-stick in the past.
And porridge with milk, yes, I like viscous. Only this one, from a pot, I also love it strong, but then I make it sweeter, like my grandmother.
Reset, I didn't know that my grandmother was so popular
I will tell her everything, she will be delighted. Thank you!
Lerele
Arka, after all, I went into the night and put the porridge only on plain milk, there is no stuck.
Just as I saw, I almost died, so I wanted it !!!
marinastom
Nata, and if without water, completely on milk, will it not work?
It's a pity, I saw it late. It won't be in time by morning ...
Helen
and I want this kind of porridge
Arka
marinastom, it will turn out even better, how it will cook, do not tell anyone, eat secretly directly from the bowl, your whole crust will be!
It's just that we always have 1 carton of milk in the refrigerator, for me personally. No one eats milk or porridge
And cook half a glass of cereal in XL
Lerele, here you are nimble! I probably already had time to eat ...
Helen, I can not forbid, though of course!
marinastom
Oh, the pendel was late ... Now only for tomorrow morning.
Nata, and if there is a shepherd dog for three adults and a teenager, how much milk-cereals? ..
Trishka
And where's my big spoon, razzoidissy 'porridge to toothless porridge double the norm!
How I arrived in time for breakfast!

Natus, wonderful porridge came out!
I will also try with baked milk, I have never cooked this ...
Although rms dairy is very ...
Thank you!

Marin !!!!! (our person!))))
And I will say so ~ for 3 adults and one shepherd dog and one neo-shepherd dog! I'll cook too! (Not less than 3 mstkans over A)
I take the porridge and the cooking method for myself with joy. I cook rice in milk chaaaasto in baby Radish 02, but not AT NIGHT. And in Shtebe I will do just THIS.
Thank you Natasha!
Tumanchik
Natulya !!! I'm into gruel too! I love rice with its indescribable magical aroma! Greetings to grandma! I love her fish! We want more recipes for her art!
mironirina
Girls, a question from the "teapot": where is the pressure valve in Redmond and how to set it? I want this kind of porridge, but I don't know if I have this valve.
velli
Nata, and millet porridge can be cooked according to your recipe? I really like millet porridge cooked in pots in the Airfryer! I don't really want to get the Airfryer from the mezzanine, and I don't want to turn on the oven, and so it's hot in the kitchen. But I really liked the option in Shtebe!

Figase task! How much does your shepherd eat?
1 mst - pulls for three adults. The question is how much to add
You can 1.5-2 mst. rice. Calculate the liquid accordingly.

velli, you can, of course, any porridge. The proportions of cereal-liquid are their usual.

In my earliest childhood, I did not like rice porridge: when my mother cooked it, I just left the table. But in my youth I no longer had such an attitude towards her. And now, rice is consumed most of all from cereals (although I often cook it for a side dish naturally, but without milk).
Nata, I'll take it to bookmarks for now
gala10
Nata, thanks for the great idea: to cook porridge in baked milk. I will definitely try.
And your grandmother's recipes - yes !!! we also love ... fish ... mmm ...
Arka
mamusi, you eat nothing! Well, advise Marina how much you need to add to the soba, otherwise I never had sobs, so I don't know anything about their appetites. And right there, not a Yorkie, but a whole sheepdog
My grandmother always had enough animals. I remember from my childhood a big silver-colored dog, called Fog. He looked a little like a wolf. He was a good dog, he ran away from the house just on the day of his arrival, I don't know what to call them, the tramps. Well...

Trishka, try by all means! A cash-eater like you should like you.
Tumanchik, thank you, my darling! I know that you love rice
I'll tell Granny, he'll come in October. New recipes are booming.

Nata!)) Yes, I was joking, we don't cook for ourselves and for Dogs in one cartoon! For three of us, 1 mstk is ALWAYS grabbed!
... And for the Dogs, we cook oats with rice or oats with grknevy or wheat in a 5 liter saucepan on gas!))) We have great events! One SAO ~ so 90 cm at the withers, the Nobleman is also large ...
But both of them will NEVER refuse rice, but on MILK, if mom treats ... but mom often treats you! ..
And I will say that you need to cook a minimum of 2 mstkna on the RYL ... otherwise it will be so ... uh ... for 1 tooth!))

Our girl is still a teenager, 3.5 months old, but she cleans the bowl at such a speed that I sometimes wonder how she does it. And we feed what we ourselves eat, we also add all kinds of different things for the growing organism.
Since while a teenager, the portion is almost like ours, or slightly smaller.
Nata, sorry for offtopic!
Arka
Marina, so weld 1.5 cups for 1.3-1.5 liters of milk (depends on the desired density)

Lerele, wah! That's so beautiful! The crust is what you need!

Nata, I threw off the recipe for my student son. True, he has a cartoon without pressure. But so that in the evening he could deliver, and in the morning there is already. And then he cooks in the morning, and rice is tastier when it is still steamed
Arka
Of course tastier! I don't use the delayed start at all, I put everything to languish for the night
Help yourself to your health! Son - bon appetit!
Mikhaska
Arkusya! I also respect rice porridge. Only in my cartoon such a crust on top will not work. Oh, you have a notable crust on your porridge!
Thank you granny for pampering her mother!

Arka
Nata, I have a Steba DD1, after the program with pressure, auto heating is turned on, for only 4 hours, 70 * C. If you cook before bedtime (in the morning), for example, at 23:00. - let 10 minutes for pressure build-up, 15 minutes for Porridge and 4 hours for Heating. This means that at half past four in the morning the bowl of porridge will simply cool down. Will it not be cold by 8 in the morning, or after the end of the Porridge program, do you need to set Manual Heating for a longer time?
Tumanchik
I don’t have the strength to look at the reports ... well, Arch, go quickly ... to grandma !!! say thank you for us!
Arka
Ltd! Mikhaska on the bus whistled overhead!
Yes, no matter how much I tried in the cartoon, "the stone flower did not come out"
And in the staff came out a crust, urrraaa!

Added on Friday 02 Sep 2016 5:08 PM

Alex_Fil, the last time I set at about 12 at night, ate at 9:30. The porridge was not hot in the heat, but warm enough for breakfast, say, on the verge, maybe 45-50 degrees. I did not regulate the heating time, 4 hours.

Irina, this is a recipe for a pressure cooker. Maybe you just have a Redmond slow cooker, no pressure? Would write what model you have ...
Arka Thanks for the clarification! Got it!

Hey ... And the wings are spread out.

Nata, I am reporting too ...
There were some adventures.
I decided to put it on a short delay, because the day was difficult yesterday and went to bed at the beginning of the tenth. At 12 at night, my husband jumped up and ran, hearing a sharp hiss, I followed him. In the kitchen, Steba stood in a pool of milk, but she worked and began the countdown. I disconnected it from the network, moved it to another place, turned it on again, wiped everything. In the morning I opened the lid, porridge, as in your picture, but, obviously, the milk curdled.I made 1.5 ms of cereal per 1 liter of milk + ~ 0.5 water.
I used to curdle porridge with pressure on milk, so I stopped adding sugar and butter beforehand. Then I decided, since everyone succeeds, so should I. Nope, no, the trick failed. Maybe, of course, the milk was already a little tavos ...
But! Everyone liked the porridge, the dog could do it instantly! I will do more.
Thank you!
Sonadora
Nata, girls, and in Panas 18 this porridge will turn out, what do you think?
Mikhaska
Man! Here, I have the eighteenth Panasik. The porridge turns out in him there is no strength, how delicious. But, without a crust. Alas.
Sonadora
Irish, I have never cooked porridge in it for twenty years. The dairy doesn't run away? Can I leave it in the cartoon until the morning on heating?
Arka
Sonadora, you get stewed, but without a crust. And you can leave it on heating and even need it, if you want exactly stewed.

Marina, I think there were 2 problems.
1) The valve was not immediately able to close, so the staff stoke it with all her might to gain the set pressure, and the steam leak prevented her from doing this. Either the ring did not immediately snap into place, or there was water or fat in the valve, or something else from the previous cooking, and he could not rise in time.
2) The milk could both initially be slightly sour, or have time to ferment during the delayed start. Conclusion: you need to make sure that everything is fine with the milk, boil a little for a test, if in doubt, and do not postpone the start, but it is better to warm it up in the morning if it cools down. Although your portion itself would have kept me warm longer, simply because it is larger.

I hope you can try it again. Well, this time at least the soba was happy, and that's good!
Olekma
Oh, how delicious it is! Now I have put such a porridge in Oursson, I hope the milk will not curl up until the morning ugh ugh ugh ...

Manyun! I do not leave ready-made porridge overnight. I prepare it as follows:
I put and fill all the products in the MV.
If you need porridge ready for, say, 8-00 in the morning, then I put the cartoon on the timer so that the cartoon cooks the porridge at 7-00. And the next hour until eight in the morning, the porridge stands and melts on the "heating". And exactly at eight it turns out super-duper porridge.

Arkus! You are not angry, what am I doing here?
Arka
Olekma, if you immediately turned it on, and the milk is good, then why should it curl up
The porridge will be ready at the end of the program. And until the morning, what has already been cooked will languish.
Enjoy your breakfast!
