Gorgonzola cheese (with blue mold) - a classic combination with chicory,

DonnaRosa, I have never tried salad chicory, but I wanted to try a salad, lawn chicory won't give a ride, won't it?)))
I stole the recipe, thank you!
DonnaRosa
eyeI forgot the name of this chicory, but it is the only one, the core must be removed. We only have one and it is sold in a French store.

If you do not find chicory, you can use stalked celery, it will not be that, of course, but you can replace it with.

DonnaRosa,
eye,
Sorry for getting into your conversation. Salad chicory is also called endive.

Endive is a vegetable that is very similar to a salad, except for the characteristic "curl" and narrowness of the leaves. Also known as chicory, it belongs to the daisy family and is a close relative of the dandelion. The taste of this vegetable salad is rather bitter, but it is compensated by a specific composition that is extremely healthy.

And more interesting from the same site:
The most widespread is the curly endive. Its close relatives are: chicory leaves, radichio salad. In the Belgian, in contrast to the curly, smooth, not dissected, collected in a dense head of cabbage, cream-colored leaves and 10-12 cm long. Another variety is escariole (Belgian or Batavian salad) with wide, jagged leaves of a pale green hue and delicate taste.
