Cooking method

  • This pastry is very distinctive. Some kind of transition line between cookies and muffins. Still not as firm as a cookie, but crumbly, and at the same time soft and moist like a cake.
  • In the cooking process, ghee is used, which has a bright nutty flavor. And in combination with nuts, these bars get a rich nutty flavor. By sweetness - moderate, balanced.
  • And of course - our ingot is decorated with a flower, the petals of which are plums.
  • Very rich pastry - both in taste and appearance.
  • COOKING PROCESS
  • Nuts should be pre-fried. To do this, put them on a baking sheet in a thin layer and send them to the oven at 180C for 10-15 minutes. Cool, peel, chop finely.
  • Put the butter in a saucepan with a thick bottom and put on fire. Bring to a boil, stir. We continue to cook and stir until the milk curd formed by heating turns a rich brown color.

  • In a mixer bowl, mix sugar, vanilla, flour, salt, nuts and proteins until smooth.

  • Pour out 75 g of boiling oil, filtered through a sieve. Mix until smooth.

  • At this stage, cool the dough, cover and send it to the refrigerator for 6 hours. During this time, it will become very thickened.

  • Grease four round shapes with a diameter of 10 cm with oil and sprinkle with flour. We put our dough into molds.
  • Remove the stone from the plum and cut it into thin slices, put it on a napkin to remove excess moisture.

  • We begin to lay out the plum slices in a circle, starting from the edges. Do not go to the walls of the form! We move from the edges to the center, overlapping the petals. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
