Basil liquor, almost Basilicello

Ingredients

Basil (regan) 100 g
Vodka 1 l
Water 0,5 l
Sugar 250 g

Cooking method

  • How did it happen that we have the Limoncello recipe on the Bread Maker, but Basilicello isn't ?! We are correcting.
  • Take a gram of 100 basil leaves. Anyone we have. I have an ordinary regan, aka reagan, aka reikhan ... The essence does not change.
  • We tamp it into a container, fill it with vodka (whoever likes it stronger, you can also use alcohol) and insist for a week. In general, I insisted in the Ourson fermenter on the "Wine" program.
  • Then we filter. Cook the syrup, let it cool slightly and pour into the tincture. Pour into bottles. Let it brew for another week. That's all!
  • I do not like strong drinks, so I brewed the syrup from one liter of water per 1 liter of vodka. I got 3 bottles of 0.7 l each
  • Basil liquor, almost Basilicello

Time for preparing:

2 weeks

Note

Recipe extremely popular in Italy, sweet spicy digestif ideal with coffee or pistachio ice cream. Among housewives who are too lazy to tinker with scales, he is called "50 leaves", which, as it were, already hints at the composition. In the original, it is of a beautiful emerald color, but I took the Reyhan and the color is therefore different. You can add various spices: cloves, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla ... Plenty of room for creativity. You can add lemons, lemon juice. You can add a little (grains) of citric acid, if there are no lemons, which will lighten the color of the liquor.

Thank you so much for the recipe! I love experimenting with alcohol. Only a liter is too much for me until I find out who will like it. Usually I do it on a glass, but if you come across it, as we say, then you can swing a liter! By the way, I also do all liqueurs like you do. Per liter of tincture - liter of water
kubanochka
Well, you can start with a glass)))
I love the taste of regan in drinks. All summer I make some water on lemon, regan, tarragon and ginger. In various variations in quantity and composition. Therefore, I liked the liquor. Now I put it on tarragon to insist, there will be tarragon liqueur.

Hurrah! So I found where to attach my basil bushes!
We don't drink almost, my mush for compresses has been asking to buy vodka for two weeks, now I probably won't forget!

And, here, I make tarkhunivka natural. Not liqueur. By the way, it's good that she reminded me! Now tarragon is especially fragrant! We need to give ourselves a bit.

on Friday, friendships came, and I sipped the tincture on the cones. Disposal of waste after receiving the syrup, so to speak. The yummy is amazing! I will do more in the next big season

hawk, Twig, that's exactly where my bushes stuck))) Even in apple cider vinegar, also a cool taste and aroma turned out.

Girls, can you also grow tarragon in the country?
I planted basil from sprouts, in early spring the child did school experiments, so they grew up.
Didn't I even notice tarragon in the seeds?
I am a novice gardener, summer resident, I can only grow zucchini and carrots. There are still few apples, the trees are young.

Let it insist, and then I will also decide, for liquor or so.
But about the bumps, you are also on time ...

Sure you may. That is why you have not seen the seeds, because the seeds are called not tarragon, but tarragon. I bought in the OB in the spring.

tarragon can also be grown in the country
Grows beautifully! True, I didn't grow from seeds. Once I bought a bunch for food (I like to add a little to salads) but it turned out a bit too much, well, and poked it under the fence, cutting off a little tops. They took root. Now the main thing is not to forget to seat him regularly. He, like chrysanthemums, requires constant, almost annual, planting. And then it grows and disappears

kubanochka, Lenochka, wonderful liquor! My hands are itching to make some kind of alcoholic drink all the time! Apparently the time has come! I go to the store for vodka
And the question is: do you just need to put basil leaves or can it be with twigs?
And yet, Lenochka, what is the recipe for apple cider vinegar?

You can also twigs, if they are not already stiff. I cut off thin twigs and cut everything straight into 5-6 cm with scissors.

What is the recipe for apple cider vinegar?
I squeeze the apple juice, then combine this juice with apple cake, pour water and add sugar. In the summer, when the apples were still green, and there was practically no juice in the apples, I simply chopped the apples with a combine and also added water and sugar. Previously, I simply cut apples, cabbage stumps, etc. Now I realized that chopped give more taste.

And if you add mint there, will they make friends with the basil?

From mint, you can prepare another liqueur, mint. Also very tasty. Both mint and basil belong to the caramel family. In other drinks, I combined them together, I think that in liquor they will make friends.

Great liquor! I love the aroma of basil! That's just gone with us already. Has risen in price again. I'll leave it in bookmarks until next season.

That's lovely! Only the other day I was struck by the thought that we really liked the basil lemonade and it would be nice to stir up the liqueur A recipe on its basis. One sadness, the basil was already on the way (it's cold for him even in the greenhouse)
Gala
I cut off all the last basil ... put it ... I'm waiting
Lena, very timely recipe, thanks!
Irina F

I have lemon, I hope it will work too. There are huge thickets straight)
Tomorrow, I'll put on a liqueur!

Thanks for the recipe! My basil tincture has been standing for 2 days already ... and surprisingly - her aroma is very reminiscent of "Vermouth", and my husband said that he smells like "Bouquet of Moldavia" (there used to be such an alcoholic drink ...) now I want to stir up the mint liqueur ...

Lena, poured vodka on the basil leaves and flowers.
I'll make your liquor.

And I will have 10 days on Tuesday

Helen, please tell me if you can use slightly dried basil or is it not the same compote?
Twig
Yesterday I drained my basilicello. It turned out a mixture (in Spain they drank such a drink, very tasty)
Very fragrant, now I was making jam from unsuccessful peaches, dripped there for flavor
Tumanchik
And I have it ready. Straight emerald. The smell is really interesting.
Tumanchik
Helen, take the report! Here's my liquor. Very nice color! For some reason, the aroma of the basil was not preserved. Rather like the smell of fresh cucumber. But maybe I overexposed. Because the aroma lasted for about 5 days, and then disappeared. Apparently it was necessary to merge. BUT I still like it very much. Thanks for the recipe. I will surprise the guests.
