Ingredients

Warm water 50 ml.
dry yeast 1.5 tbsp. l.
wheat flour 500 gr.
curdled milk 250 ml.
sugar 1 tsp
salt 2 tsp
vegetable oil (in dough) 5 tbsp. l.
sesame seeds, cumin at will and taste
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • We dilute the yeast in warm water and leave it until a fluffy cap. Then add the rest of the ingredients (except for the sesame) and knead the elastic dough. The recipe (the author, unfortunately, is not known to me) contains flour 500 gr. I advise you to take flour. 400, and then add it to an elastic kolobok (if necessary). Depends, apparently, on the density of the yogurt, my flour has never gone 500 grams.
  • Leave the dough in a warm place until doubled. (about 1 hour).
  • Transfer the matched dough to a floured surface, knead and divide into 8 parts.
  • Roll each part into a cake (I am guided by the size of my pan), sprinkle with sesame or caraway seeds and roll it again with a rolling pin, in the middle of the cake we make several cuts with a knife and fry in a hot pan with a small amount of oil, until golden brown.
  • The author advises serving cakes with milk, but we really like borscht or pea soup with smoked meat instead of bread.
