Biriyani with chicken

Ingredients

butter 50 g
ginger slice 2.5 cm
garlic 2 cloves
cinnamon 0.5 tsp
coriander 1 tbsp. l.
cardamom 1 tsp
carnation 3 pcs.
caraway 2 tsp
chicken breasts 4 things.
onion 1 PC. + 1pc. for decoration
Basmati rice 350 - 400 g
chicken bouillon 1.2 l
saffron pinch
nutmeg 0.5 tsp
Bay leaf 1 PC.
pistachios (almonds) 50 g
raisins 50 g
cilantro 1 bunch

Cooking method

  • Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the crushed garlic, ground cardamom, ground coriander, cloves, ground caraway seeds, grated ginger and ground cinnamon.
  • Add chicken strips, fry and place out of the pan.
  • Add the onion and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Put the rice and stir.
  • Pour in chicken broth, add ground saffron and bay leaves, bring to a boil.
  • Place strips of fried chicken on top of the rice and simmer under the lid for 15 minutes.
  • Add ground nutmeg, pistachios and raisins, stir and simmer for another 10-15 minutes, until the rice becomes soft.
  • Fry the onion rings in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  • Decorate biriyani with onion rings and cilantro.

Note

I add vegetable oil. 50 g of creamy little.
For some reason, there is no salt in the recipe. I salt to taste.
I replace saffron with turmeric 0.5 tsp. for golden color.
You can make this rice with chicken thighs and lamb.
