Rabbit with white beans and rosemary

Ingredients

Rabbit (cut into pieces) 300 g
White beans (boiled) 300 g
Rosemary 1 branch
Bay leaf 1 PC.
Onion 1 PC. - 70 g
Garlic 2 teeth
Red wine 100 ml
Olive (vegetable) oil
Salt pepper

Cooking method

  • Season the pieces of rabbit with salt, pepper, garlic squeezed in a garlic press, bay leaves and wine. Leave in the marinade for 4-8 hours.
  • Fry the chopped onion in oil. Add the marinade rabbit and the rosemary sprig, broken into pieces. Simmer over low heat until the rabbit is done. Pour in some water if necessary.
  • Add boiled beans and you can pour in some liquid from boiling beans. Season with pepper and salt. Put out another 10 minutes. over low heat.
  • White rice works well as a side dish.
  • Bon Appetit!

But the Portuguese do not count beans as a side dish. They must serve rice with beans. So they have it. I'm used to it too. But sometimes I don't serve it with rice. And I'm making a salad.

The Portuguese have a wonderful bldo. I love him. K; I will definitely do something and put it up. It is called in Portuguese "Feijoada", because beans are "feijoada". Meat with beans and rice (but you can also without it, although rice tastes better), and with a lot of sauce.
