Canned cabbage with chicken as 30 years ago

Ingredients

chicken thighs 6pcs
cabbage 1,5kg
onion 3 pcs
carrot 1-2pcs
garlic 1-2 slices
spice loved ones
cans 0.5l 6pcs
frying oil

Cooking method

  • Do you remember there were such canned food, cabbage with chicken? I remember we were buying with the girls, we were eating it in a cold state, like we were so delicious. So, this nostalgia overwhelmed me, well, right with my head, I wish I could not express it otherwise
  • Year probably going, cooked recently. I didn't want to exhibit the recipe, but the girls asked very much, I had to open the jar and try. I don’t know what’s there, suddenly it’s not tasty. Tasty
  • So, you can't put raw cabbage in jars, you need to put it out.
  • Peeled the onion, cut and lightly fried in vegetable oil, added grated carrots, then finely chopped garlic.
  • When everything was soaked in oil and fried a little, I added chopped cabbage, salt, spices (you need very little) and 150 ml of water.
  • Canned cabbage with chicken as 30 years ago
  • Close the multicooker and cook under pressure for 10-15 minutes, or simmer in any convenient way.
  • I washed my thighs and cut them in half. She poured hot (boiling) water into a bowl with thighs and let it stand for a few minutes. It is necessary that the squirrel curled up and then did not float around the bank in pieces. Rinse the chicken pieces well, stir in salt and pepper.
  • Well, or just soak for a long time and periodically change the water.
  • I did not sterilize the jars and lids, it is not necessary at all here, I just washed them. She put stewed cabbage and two pieces of chicken in each jar, pressed it with a spoon so that liquid would form on top, but filled no more than the shoulders of the jar.
  • I screwed up the lids as tightly as I could, set the jars in the bowl, poured water over the shoulders of the jars.
  • Canned cabbage with chicken as 30 years ago
  • I closed the lid of the pressure cooker, turned on the meat program for 50 minutes, the pressure is high 07 and we are waiting.
  • After the end of the program, it is by no means possible to forcibly release the pressure, we are waiting for the lid to open on its own. When the lid opens freely (usually 15-20 minutes), very carefully we take out the jars (everything is boiling in the jars), tighten the lids as tight as possible, turn them over on a towel and cover them with a blanket or whatever is warm until they cool completely.
  • Well that's it, done
  • I store all the blanks at home, in an ordinary apartment, in a closet.

vernisag, Irina! Thank you very much for the recipe. I would like to clarify. You write that 6 pieces are required. 0.5 liter cans. The cartoon, as I understand it, includes 3 pieces. That is, the portion you gave is prepared in 2 doses?
Are the bones from the thighs not removed?
If each thigh is cut in half, then 6 thighs are cut into 12 pieces. And 2 pieces (in fact, one whole thigh) are put in each jar?

Yes, of course you can do more

You can probably take it out, I didn't take it out.

I did it in two pressure cookers at once, I always do that. Of course, it is more difficult with one pressure cooker, or rather a little longer.

It's better not to cook this without a pressure cooker, it's dangerous, here you need to do it under high pressure.

vernisag, Ira, the recipe is interesting! Thank you!!! I will definitely try to cook it! Otherwise, you will not know what taste of canned food was 30 years ago.
Seriously ... For some reason we didn't sell such canned food in our stores.
PySy. If nostalgia has struck ... Does anyone know the recipe for THOS cabbage rolls canned in cans? Either Bulgarian, or Hungarian ...
Masha Ivanova
vernisag, Ira! It is, of course, possible with another recipe plus from the topic of Shteba to take your comments, but ...
A separate recipe would certainly be better, especially in the beloved Shteba. I think many will be happy with this recipe.
Seven-year plan
Irinka! I have never tried such canned food ... we did not have such canned food in the South ...
But judging by the descriptions - the taste is delicious !!!!
I love cabbage! Chicken too! I'll have to try to do it !!!

Well, in Moscow, maybe they didn't sell, but in our provinces, at that time, probably only this was sold

Svetik thanks for stopping by. Well, maybe it’s not particularly delicious, but of course delicious. Like all canned food, it’s just convenient, I took out, opened the dish ready for you.
Lerele
vernisag, wow !!! What an idea !!!
I really love stewed cabbage, and my husband does not eat, but you can do a lot like that, wanted to, got it.
And now the question is, do you not acidify anything? Like tomatoes ?? And if you add sauerkraut ?? And so it turns out without nothing?

I'm not sick of it, I have a lot of spices there. Even you know, I would like at least a minimum of spices, a little black pepper and a bit of garlic.
And so you can add anything you like, to your taste.
I also did it for myself, my daughter does not eat cabbage. My little sister did come today, she and I managed to make one jar.

vernisag, Irina, Well, now everything is clear and understandable. I especially liked what you can store at home. THANK YOU!!! I went on to read.

Shaw, is Irishka raging again?
Irish, Wait, I read your kapuska ... You know, finally, I don’t do preserves - there’s nowhere to store, but when I saw your homemade delicacies, I’d like to repeat all this splendor in the middle of the vater, so I wanted to repeat all this splendor, then arrange the jars beautifully and excursions from the guests to the closet drive.

What is going on here? ..
(Without changing))))
I'll cook, Schaub devour eat for lunch!)
Canning laziness to me. Oh, and I was lazy ... (Yes, and there is no one ...)
This year I rolled up 2 jars of strawberry jam, 0.5 each, and 2 jars of tomato juice, 0.7 each.
The world has never seen such a lazy person!
The rest is ~ freeze! And into the dryer ...

But the recipe ~ bookmark! A valuable recipe!
Albina
Irina, unfortunately I have never met such canned goods

Uh-huh, tell me, you only have a kitchen, like my whole apartment. I would admit honestly, sho lazy

And this year I made eggplants in Korean, zucchini in Korean, cucumbers in Korean, zucchini in Korean and tomatoes, too, in Korean, everything is delicious I can even take a tour to my pantry

Is that all? Rituel, and you seem to have your own garden? Or I'm wrong
When I lived in the house, I twisted so many things, it's scary to remember But the most interesting thing is that I like it

Irina, to my regret, I have never met such canned food
Albina, probably our local cannery made it, in my region they probably only sold it. Because my sister said that she also remembers such canned food well

vernisag, Ira, thank you very much for the recipe!
I will definitely make a couple of jars like NZ! Everything is there - chicken and cabbage and a pressure cooker! and a stimulus in the form of an appetizing photo
mamusi
vernisag, Irish, well, yes, I'm in "my house", but I don't have a vegetable garden as such - so 5 bushes of tomatoes for a salad (they still produce))) and greens. Basically GARDEN !!! Vineyard!)))
And now I don't skate much. I used to roll my muscle before, if cho ...
He also sours cabbage.
And now, with my fingers, I just roll up .... Well, something, somewhere .... Last year we rolled up pickled peppers. They ate only half. One ate!
Currant 15 cans - just did not eat. Right now I'm making compotes from it ... Eggplant caviar ~ is pretty! Not eaten! And who has something? I'm almost always home alone. Husband arrives ~ he is only interested in fermented cabbage and frozen cherries. Frozen currants in pies. In compotes, apple drying. And dried prunes and apricots! And I did all this! Dry and frost a lot!

Svetik, a ray of three jars, just three cans fit well into the bowl I really hope you like

Mush eats only cabbage, cherries and currants, understandably Good husband, not expensive at all

Good husband, not expensive at all
Yes, well, this is besides meat and potatoes!
(And I also forgot different pies, and Ossetian ones, and they need cheese for them!)
Milk, cottage cheese, yogurt ~ always on the table! We should have a cow!
Ir, we love eggplants, zucchini very much, but in season! I cook a lot of that. And cabbage, of course!
But in winter ... They go badly out of cans, I don't know why! It doesn't work with us. Here I use zucchini from the freezer in mashed potatoes, in omelets ... with tomatoes. So we have already got used to it. I also froze tomato puree this year - such an icy tomato. And in banks, it is not enough.

As I saw this recipe, I immediately presented the taste! And for some reason it suddenly seemed to me that this recipe should contain rice ... Well, this is how the fantasy worked. What do you think?

vernisag, Irusik, I made it!

Ritual, how delicious!
How much time did you do? I suppose in a bowl, not in jars
mamusi
vernisag, Ira, yes in the bowl. And I will repeat it again. First, I fried the onion on Pastry and the carrots, then threw the cabbage for 15 minutes for 0.7, then the chicken pieces there, soaked it a little in salted water and washed it before that. I laid out the lavrushka, salted the peppercorns and set it for 20 minutes 0.7. She ran away to work. So it was still on Heating for 3.5 hours.

For the future, I want to put cabbage at 0.3 or less time ~ I'll try. For me, it is still slightly digested. But yummyooo very straight ~ very! Such a juice! I ate it with a spoon!
