Ingredients

Cottage cheese 350 g
Butter 175 g
Eggs 5 pieces.
Sugar 185 g
Flour 175 g
Salt 0.2 tsp
Baking powder 1.75 tsp
Vanillin

Cooking method

  • Beat soft butter with sugar and salt, add eggs, whisking. Add cottage cheese, beat. Add flour and baking powder, stir. Let the dough stand (if you have time. I didn't have it, I baked it right away).
  • My cottage cheese was ordinary, not pasty, slightly moist:

  • Waffles straight from the waffle iron are absolute "rags". As it cools, the outside becomes crispy. Over time, these waffles, like all other thick ones, finally soften.
  • Wafers uneaten immediately heat up perfectly in a toaster, not for long. They are immediately crispy on the outside. I strongly advise against reheating in a waffle iron - the result is unsatisfactory (I checked it). They again become "rags", as they cool down they begin to crunch slightly, but they are not like freshly baked ones and they are very, very far from being heated in a toaster!
  • The recipe was taken from the "eat at home" website and converted to a 350-gram package of cottage cheese, along the way I reduced the number of eggs. Thanks to the author of the recipe and in the note I give the original version. If you don't need 12 waffles at once, you can use it.
