Onion Fish Crackers (Redmond Multi Baker Layout)

Ingredients

Flour 270 g
Butter (margarine) 75 g
Milk 4 tbsp. l.
Bulb onions 350 g (1.5 large onions)
Soda 0.3 scoop
Salt 0.5 tsp + for sprinkling
Vegetable oil For frying onions
Sesame Optional

Cooking method

  • This recipe is found on almost all culinary sites I have viewed, including on HP Onion crackers.
  • I kneaded 1.5 portions of dough, and I give these figures. Slightly changed the flour / liquid ratio: increased the amount of flour and slightly decreased the amount of milk; I post the recipe more as a description of the technology for baking these crackers in the RAMB-171 panel (MP 7). I think they should turn out very well in the "Dutch waffles" panel and, possibly, in "thin waffles".
  • Finely dice the onion (I cut it with Berner) and fry in vegetable oil.
  • Mix flour, salt and baking soda with butter until crumbly. Add milk, fried onions and stir.
  • Further work can be done in two ways.
  • Method 1. Roll about 115 g of dough into a rectangular layer. On my rug, the size of the rectangle is 2x4.5 squares. The dough is very flexible and can be spread by hand. Transfer the layer to the panel (I transferred it by screwing it onto a rolling pin).

  • (I have already closed the MP cover, so the prints of the top panel are visible).
  • Close the cover with the latch. Bake 15-17 'with cold appliance, 11-13' with hot appliance.
  • Onion Fish Crackers (Redmond Multi Baker Layout)
  • Method 2. Roll 16 balls weighing 15 g from the dough (I was guided by the amount of dough from method 1). Place them in the center of the cells, close the device with a latch. The baking time is the same as in method 1.

  • As an experiment, I lightly salted the last layer of dough and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

  • Whether to use sesame is a matter of taste. But I strongly recommend that you additionally lightly salt these cookies just like this, on the outside before baking. It turned out that it was it - the most delicious!

The dish is designed for

exactly 40 pcs. = 2.5 bookmarks in MP 7, panel RAMB-171

Time for preparing:

Baking 10-15 '

Cooking program:

Note

I will bake some more! I will recalculate the recipe so that I get 3 full bookmarks. I think we need to make the dough even cooler (add flour and / or reduce liquid). Because I didn't like such a long baking time. It took so long to keep the cookies in the appliance for them to acquire the dryness characteristic of crackers.

I usually prefer to put in a cold appliance - it's more comfortable. But in this case it does not give any special advantages. Accordingly, I recommend putting it in hot - it will bake faster!

And, yes, it is very similar to the notorious "fish". And also eaten ...

Thank you!
Svetik, you managed to read all my typos!

Tell me, stupid, is there really no recipe preview?

all my typos

Lenok! The main thing is that I understood the MEANING. I did not see any typos. Now one thought: How to distort your recipe, in relation to the presence of panels !. This is NUNYA for me, because periodically, instead of canapes, I make mini snack sandwiches on crackers. What do you think the classic combination of pizza downstairs grill top? Yes, roll out a little thicker at once in squares? Or whole panel, and then cut into rhombuses? What do you think? Will it ride?
Accomplishment
It seems to me that these, with onions, do not need you for sandwiches. They just exist.I still have some crackers in the pipeline. Recipes, however, I did not look for, and the panel for the second day
About panels. You can, of course, try, only at least both grill then! Better, perhaps, to roll to the desired thickness and bake without contact with the top panel. Or turn it over, or let it stay like that - still hide it under the filling.

Roll out onto a sheet, prick along the edges (with a wheel, fork, comb), bake, break / cut.

Or buy "cookies" or "thin waffles"

Accomplishment, Lenusya, thank you. Boom to try!

Bettina, I look forward to the pictures and the sensations of the "Dutch waffles" crackers!

No money! All the repairs gobbled up !!!

Light, right now I was putting the samsush one in its place and I think - maybe in it? Top grill / pizza. Such triangular boats will turn out ..

And what is "fuuuu"? Why don't you have a comb? Well, sorry, comb ... (we are not strong in definitions)

And if you fukat in vain - shas I'll go bake your shortbread waffles in my waffle cookies and won't show you

repairs
Don't say that word to me. I have a nervous tic on him ...
eta-007
Flax, is it not too thick in the samsushny one? If you are in thin for 10 min. baked, then in a samsushny, it is not economically profitable at all. Or is the cookie cutter deep enough?
Accomplishment
Hey, right now, so be it, I'll show you your dough in my cookie
Onion Fish Crackers (Redmond Multi Baker Layout)

As for the samsushnaya, I meant to roll out the dough into a layer of the required thickness, lay it out, cut off the excess. And in the cells so that it is distributed along the bottom (under its own weight or handles?). You don't need the color on top, the main thing is to bake it. But I'm theorizing, you understand yourself, you have to try. And with the correct test, in order to also know what it is, for such purposes it is correct ...
Bettina
I baked it on Dutch waffles. Delicious turned out. But I poured too much soda. But, not a cracker in consistency. The cracker is brittle, crumbles, and in this panel it is so dense. One tab was baked for 3 minutes. I baked for one portion (as in the original recipe), and not like you, Lenus, for one and a half. I thought, since you have 40 pieces, how long will I bake two pieces, and even 10-13 minutes! But it turned out that I got only 10 pieces and spent 20 minutes on everything!
Onion Fish Crackers (Redmond Multi Baker Layout)
Probably 2-3 mm thick, no more.
Although dense, I will often do it - quickly and tasty!

and in this panel so tight
Interesnoooo! I'll have to try next time on that and on that panel!
In fact, I think it depends on the amount of onion and, accordingly, the oil in which it was fried. I had a lot of oil.

40 pieces,
Ha, so those 4 are about the same area as one Dutch. Well, a little more, since they are square.

In general, you got onion crisps, also an option!
Thanks for the photo!

so those 4 occupy approximately the same area as one Dutch.
Here's how! I haven't seen your panel live. We don't sell at all. Just a three-panel multibaker, small. And the rest must be written out.
Listen, I, on the contrary, tried to drain the oil from the onion as much as possible! Maybe that's why. Well it's not that important! The main thing is delicious! We still love fried onions straight!

I'll take a photo next to it in the evening, you'll see!

Maybe right! I, too, at first modestly poured oil. And then, in the course of frying, I added it 2 or 3 times, because it was not enough. Although I'm not a fan of "a lot of oil" at all. But she didn't "filter" the onion from the oil. Maybe that's why I wanted more flour ...
