Pusta - Hungarian soup

Ingredients

Meat broth 1 liter
Fresh white cabbage 300 grams
Boiled beans 300 grams
Cooked-smoked sausages 200 grams
Bulb 1 piece
Carrot 1 piece
Bell pepper 2 pieces
Vegetable oil for frying 2 tablespoons
Garlic, salt, pepper, red hot pepper, parsley taste

Cooking method

  • Dice the onion and coarsely grate the carrots.
  • Chop the cabbage into strips.
  • Cut the sausages into slices.
  • Garlic, herbs, finely chop.
  • Remove seeds from peppers and cut into cubes.
  • Heat oil in a thick-walled saucepan.
  • Put onions and carrots in it. Fry a little.
  • Then add cabbage, peppers and sausages. Without covering, fry for 10 minutes. Pour in hot broth.
  • Cover and cook until vegetables are tender.
  • Pour boiled (canned) beans and parsley.
  • Season to taste with garlic and hot pepper.
  • Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  • Let the soup steep.
