Ingredients

ground almonds 120 g
butter 85 g
powdered sugar 120 g
eggs 2 pcs
vanilla extract 1 tsp
For lemon glaze
powdered sugar 1 st
lemon juice 2-3 st. l

Cooking method

  • Mazariner is a Swedish cake, a crumbly and tender shortcrust pastry tart with an almond filling that tastes like marzipan, covered with lemon glaze. Baked in muffin-like tins, but without the corrugated sides.
  • MazarinerSift flour, add powdered sugar and salt. In a blender, combine flour and butter until crumbs. Add the yolks, quickly knead the dough. A ball molded from dough, wrap with foil, put in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
    MazarinerFill in the prepared forms with the test. The dough can either be rolled out to a thickness of 3 ml, then cut out into circles slightly larger than the mold size, or evenly spread over the mold with your fingers. Chill the batter pan in the refrigerator while you prepare the almond filling.
    MazarinerAll ingredients for the filling should be at room temperature. Mix butter and sugar for a light and fluffy buttery mass.
  • Add eggs one by one, stir after each addition. Add ground almonds, stir the mixture.
  • MazarinerFill the tartlets lined with dough with almond filling, filling them no more than 2/3 to their height (they will rise a lot).
    MazarinerBake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes

I liked the cakes very much. The first time I did it exactly according to the recipe, but next time I will try to significantly reduce the amount of oil in the filling, I think there is enough of it in the nuts.
