Georgian solyanka in a multicooker (Panasonic SR-TMH 18)

Ingredients

Beef 500 g
Large onion 2 pcs.
Pickled (barrel) cucumbers 3 pcs.
Tomato puree 3 tbsp. l.
Dry wine 4 tbsp. l.
or grape (apple) vinegar 2 tbsp. l.
Garlic 2-3 tooth.
Black pepper, khmeli-suneli
Fresh or frozen parsley, cilantro
Frying oil

Cooking method

  • Cut the beef into pieces of about 2 * 2 and fry together with finely chopped onion in a BAKING. I left the default time 40 minutes. Then add the tomato puree, the peeled and diced cucumbers. Add 2 glasses of water or broth, wine (vinegar) and put on STEERING mode for 1.5 hours. Maybe 1 hour will be enough if the meat is young or more tender (kidney part, for example).
  • Ten minutes before the end of the STEWING mode, add spices, garlic, herbs. Salt to taste.
  • When serving, sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs.
  • This dish is eaten as an independent dish without a side dish, it turns out something similar to a thick soup, in general, a sauce with meat.
  • My comments... We usually eat this hodgepodge with a side dish (in Russian).
  • I also added dry basil and ground paprika. My wine was Saperavi red (Georgian), you can fill it with white and wine or, in extreme cases, with ordinary vinegar (diluted). Vinegar adds a special spice to the dish. Instead of volume. I used homemade tomato juice boiled pasta, in the summer I cook with fresh tomatoes.
