Cooking method

  • PREPARATION OF PRODUCTS:
  • Wash, dry eggplants, peppers and tomatoes, wrap each vegetable separately in foil.
  • Fill the slow cooker bowl so that the eggplants are on the bottom and barrels against the sides of the bowl. Spread the tomatoes and peppers in a top layer.
  • Cover and cook
  • at MAX, 2.5 hours
  • until the eggplants are completely soft and have a pleasant (ready-made) smell.
  • I cooked at night using a timer socket, after turning off the vegetables were left to reach readiness in the turned off device.
  • WE COLLECT THE DISH:
  • In the morning I sautéed the onion in oil until golden brown and pleasantly scented. She took out and peeled the baked vegetables from the skin (I also removed seeds from the pepper).
  • I cut the vegetables with a knife as small as possible.
  • I put the vegetables in a large bowl, added fried onions, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dried garlic and chopped herbs. Carefully smashed with a fork.
  • This caviar can be either an independent snack or a side dish for meat.

I found the recipe in Alena Spirina's book * Soviet cuisine in accordance with GOST and not only *, but I did not want to bake vegetables in the oven.
