Orange caramel sauce

Ingredients

* Wine vinegar 125 ml.
* Freshly squeezed orange juice 125 ml.
* Sugar 250 g
* Star anise 2 stars
* Carnation 5 bottle.
* Allspice 5 mountains.
* Cardamom ground 0.25 tsp

Cooking method

  • Pound star anise, cloves and pepper in a mortar (without fanaticism, not into dust).
  • Pour vinegar and juice into a saucepan, add ground spices. Put on fire, bring to a boil.
  • Warm up over low heat for 4-5 minutes. Strain.
  • Return the strained liquid to the pan, add granulated sugar, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 7 minutes. Pour the sauce into a bottle. Cool and refrigerate.
  • The sauce is very good for baking, before finishing the process, to create a flavorful, bright caramel surface.
  • In desserts, a spicy citrus note of this sauce will also be appropriate.
  • Also for lovers of sweet and sour nuances, in meat dishes, this sauce is suitable.
