An electric kettle with a temperature regulator Kitfort KT-629 can not only boil water, but also heat it to a temperature of 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 ° C, which is very convenient when brewing various types of tea. A temperature of 40 ° C is useful for preparing baby food. The kettle is also equipped with a keep warm function. The water temperature is controlled by a thermal sensor built into the bottom of the kettle.

The body of the kettle is double. Inside it is made of stainless steel, and on the outside it is protected by plastic, which prevents the danger of scalding from hot metal parts, and also makes the kettle more economical, since the double body retains heat better. The diameter of the neck is enlarged for easier maintenance.

The inside of the case and the bottom of the lid are made of stainless steel. Outside, the body and cover are plastic. This design completely excludes contact of plastic with water, at the same time, the outer plastic surface does not heat up, and you cannot get burned on it. The measuring scale is marked on the inside of the kettle. The large neck of the kettle makes it easier to access the inside when washing it and during descaling. The handle of the kettle is plastic, does not heat up and fits comfortably in the hand. The stand is made of plastic and covered with a glass surface on top.

The heating element (TEN) of this kettle model is hidden and is located in the bottom part. From above, it is closed with a special metal plate made of stainless steel, due to which direct contact of the heating element with water is excluded. This design prevents the formation of limescale, facilitates maintenance and reduces noise when heating water.

The stand with center contact allows the kettle to be placed on it in any position, providing 360 ° rotation. There is a cord storage area at the bottom, into which you can reel in excess power cord. There are touch buttons on the stand for turning the kettle on and off, setting operating modes and selecting temperatures. All buttons are illuminated for easy identification of which mode is currently active. When boiling and changing operating modes, a signal will sound.

The kettle turns off automatically when it boils and when it is removed from the stand, it has overheating protection and protection against turning on without water.

The water level scale with Min and Max marks is marked on the inside of the kettle.

There are 4 buttons on the base of the kettle to select and activate heating modes. Each button is equipped with an indicator light that displays the status of the selected operating mode.

The "Temperature" button allows you to select the temperature to which the water in the kettle will be heated. Available in 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 ° C. Selecting 100 ° C means the water will be brought to a boil.

The "Heating" button enables the mode of maintaining the temperature for all temperatures, except for 100 ° C. The temperature is maintained for 2 hours.

The Boil button turns on the water boiling mode.

The On / Off button is used to turn the kettle on and off, as well as to transfer it from sleep to standby mode.

The display shows the current water temperature and the selected temperature modes.

Sound signals

A single beep sounds when you press the buttons and when you remove the kettle from the stand.

Two beeps are given when the selected mode is automatically turned off (when boiling, after heating to the set temperature and when the temperature maintenance mode is turned off), as well as when the stand is connected to the power supply.

Preparation for work and use

Preparation for work. Place the stand on a flat, horizontal surface at least 10 cm from the wall and edge of the table. Connect the stand to the power supply. It is recommended to tuck any excess cord into the compartment on the bottom of the stand. Insert the cord into the slot in the stand. Do not bend or hang the power cord from the table.

When you turn on the kettle for the first time, a foreign smell may appear. To remove the odor, boil the water in the kettle several times and drain it.
Pour water into the kettle up to a level between the Min and Max marks. Place the lid on the kettle and place it on the base.

Boiling water. Press the “On / Off” button on the stand to switch the kettle from sleep to standby mode and the “Boil” button. The indicator on the Boiling button will light up, and the water will start heating. After boiling water, the kettle will beep and turn off automatically.

To turn off the kettle manually, press the On / Off button.

Heating water and maintaining temperature. Press the On / Off button on the stand to switch the kettle from sleep to standby. Use the "Temperature" button to select the heating temperature. The selected temperature is shown on the display. Then press the "Heat" button. The indicator on the "Heating" button will be on, water heating will start. When heating is finished, a beep will sound and the kettle will maintain the water temperature for 2 hours.

To switch off the kettle manually, press the Start / Stop button.

If the kettle is removed from the base for less than 1 minute, the keep warm mode remains active. If the kettle is removed for a longer time, a beep will sound and the mode will be canceled.

It is not possible to activate the keep warm mode for a temperature of 100 ° C.

Advice

Do not pour too much water into the kettle (above the WaterMax mark), otherwise it may spill out of the kettle when it boils.

If the temperature of the water in the kettle exceeds the temperature of the selected mode, then the heating will not be turned on. For example, you cannot turn on heating up to 40 ° C if you have just boiled water. You must wait until the water has cooled down.

The process of heating the water is accompanied by some noise, which is a characteristic feature of all kettles with a disc heater. During the heating process, the noise may stop altogether. This shouldn't scare you. Do not turn off the kettle or press buttons, as the kettle continues to work. After a few seconds, the noise will reappear.

If you set a temperature of 90 ° C to heat a small amount of freshly boiled water, it may have time to boil before the kettle turns off. This is a sign that the appliance is functioning properly.

Care and storage

To extend the life of the kettle, descale in a timely manner. Place the descaling agent in the kettle (you can use 250 ml of 9% acetic acid solution, or 3 g of citric acid dissolved in 100 ml of water), pour water up to the Max mark and bring to a boil. Wait for the solution to cool and drain it. Then rinse the kettle with running water, boil water in it and drain it.

Use a damp cloth to wipe down the body of the kettle and the bases regularly. Unplug the cradle from the power supply before servicing.

Store the kettle in a cool and dry place out of the reach of children.

Troubleshooting

When boiling water, the kettle turns off without bringing the water to a boil.

Probably poor connection in the temperature sensor circuit. Check the contacts in the contact groups at the bottom of the kettle and in the stand.

Water drops on a stand.

Probably, the water level exceeded the maximum, as a result, when boiling, part of the water splashed out.
