Lean millet meatballs

Ingredients

For porridge
millet 1 part
water 4 parts
salt, sugar (I have a sugar substitute) taste
semolina (I have corn) for breading taste
odorless vegetable oil for frying optional
For jelly
fresh or frozen berries (I have strawberries) taste
water 1 liter
sugar taste
potato starch 2-3 tablespoons

Cooking method

  • Cook porridge either on the stove, or like me in a slow cooker.
  • Cool down.
  • Blind balls with wet hands. Roll in semolina.
  • Fry on both sides until golden brown. I smeared it a little with a brush.
  • For jelly, boil the berries until tender, add sugar to taste.
  • Dissolve starch in a small amount of cold water, pour into boiling water, bring to a boil, stirring all the time.
  • Do not boil! Remove from heat, sprinkle with sugar on top (then a film does not form when cooling).
  • Pour jelly over the hot meatballs and serve immediately.
  • It is better to cook a little and eat right away.
