Biscuit

Flour / s or Extra 10 tbsp. l. (225 g.)
Baking powder 1 tsp (6 y.)
Coconut-poppy cake
Egg whites 6 pcs.
Sugar 1 tbsp. (225 g.)
Poppy 1 tbsp. (140 g.)
Coconut flakes (white) 100 g
Vanilla sugar or vanillin
Cream No. 1
Egg yolks 6 pcs.
Sugar 1 tbsp. (225 g.)
Milk 1/2 tbsp. (125 ml.)
Butter (soft) 300 gr.
Lemon 1 PC.
Strawberry 200 gr.
Cream No. 2
Butter (soft) 300 gr.
Boiled condensed milk 1 can
Instant coffee 1 tbsp. l.
Cognac or vodka 1 tbsp. l.
Strawberry 200 gr.

Cooking method

Biscuit.
Beat the whites, gradually adding sugar. Stir lightly with the yolks at low speed.
Add flour sifted with baking powder, and gently mix everything from top to bottom, as if drawing an eight.
Put the dough into a detachable form, the bottom of which is pre-lined with baking paper. I have a square shape 24x24 cm, you can use a round shape with a diameter of 28 cm.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes, to be sure, check the readiness of the biscuit with a stick. Cool the sponge cake in a mold, cover with foil and leave to ripen for 12 hours.

Coconut-poppy cake.
Beat whites with sugar until peaks.
Add poppy seeds, coconut and vanillin, ground on a coffee grinder. Mix everything gently.
Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees, you can on a baking sheet, I used the same form as for the biscuit, laying the bottom and sides with baking paper.

Cream No. 1.
Grind the yolks with sugar and put in a water bath.
Bring the milk to a boil and gradually pour into the yolks. Warm up the mass, stirring for 30 minutes. Cool down.
Whisking butter with a mixer, add according to Art. l. milky yolk mass, at the end lemon juice.
Add strawberries and mix gently.
Cream No. 2.
Beat the condensed milk with butter. Add coffee, diluted in 1 tsp. hot water, and brandy, continuing to beat the cream.
Add strawberries and mix gently.
Assembly.
Cut the biscuit into two halves. Soak at will, I soak in nut liqueur, you can make your loved ones or cook syrup from 100 gr. sugar and 2 tbsp. l. water, after cooling, add 50 ml. cognac.

Decorate as you wish, I have strawberries topped with cake jelly and chocolate ribbon. It is advisable to keep the cake in the refrigerator before decorating.

Note

The cake is not fast and it can be done like this: the first day - a biscuit; second day - coconut-poppy cake; third day of cream and assembly.
The cake is very tasty, especially on the second, third day, when it is soaked in cream. Every year, during the strawberry season, I make this cake for my family, I don't always decorate the sides, but I do not regret strawberries.
For a cake with a diameter of 21 cm, half the norm of products is enough, its weight will be 2 kg.
