Mrs. Addams
Girls, I bought packs of bulgur and red lentils (from well-known manufacturers), and since they are rare in my kitchen, a stupid question arose - do I need to wash them? In a standard situation, I would wash without even thinking, but in a specific case I need them ready to use, but for storage. I'm afraid how they will be stored after washing - will they dry out completely?
What do you think?

Arina, it's like with regular cereals, wash before use.
Tusya Tasya
Mrs. Addams, the manufacturer usually writes on the packaging whether it is necessary to wash.

Buttercup, Tusya Tasya, Thank you!

wash before use.
If before use, then I would not have thought - I want to prepare in advance, pack it in portions, so that I don't bother later.
Yes, I looked at the package - the lentils should be exactly, about bulgur in "cooking" it is evasively written "to fry dry".

I will wash it, of course, and spread it on a tray - I hope it dries normally.

As for me, washing, drying, then watching and worrying so that it does not bloom - there is much more trouble than measuring out the right amount and rinsing before use.

Does anyone wash the rolled oats?
Mandraik Ludmila
Tatyana, I oats before my use, all empty shells float away.
Mrs. Addams
plasmo4ka, well, it is not always possible to wash before cooking.
plasmo4ka
Mrs. Addams, well then, maybe in the dryer or in the oven, just in the air I would not risk it
Mrs. Addams
plasmo4ka, Thank you! Yes, I didn't think about the dryer - indeed, I'll dry it in it
plasmo4ka
Mrs. Addams,
