Ingredients

any nuts 100 g
candied orange 70 g
cinnamon 5 g
star anise 5 g
soda 5 g
sugar 300 BC
water 100 g
premium wheat flour 300 BC

Cooking method

  • CavalucciChop the nuts coarsely. We cut candied fruits (I have homemade orange peels). I baked with both almonds and walnuts. I liked the walnut better.
    CavalucciGrind the star anise in a coffee grinder.
    CavalucciPour soda and spices with nuts and candied fruits.
    CavalucciMix water with sugar. We put on fire. Cook until sugar dissolves. I brought it to a boil. Remove from heat. Let cool slightly.
    CavalucciAdd spices. Stir. Refrigerate until warm. It is important!
    CavalucciSift the flour into the bowl. Add the syrup with nuts, candied fruits and spices.
    CavalucciStir with a spatula (K-shaped, bitter). You should get a crumb or dough may come out right away.
    Cavalucci Add water gradually, if necessary. The dough should just get sticky. It must be collected.
    CavalucciPinch off a piece of dough. Form a cutlet.
    CavalucciRoll in flour.
    CavalucciForm rhombuses. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
    CavalucciBake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Cavalucci should be reddened. Do not overdo it in the oven. Take out. Allow to cool.

Svetlana, I have orange homemade. Well, very solid. I can't even cut. The cavalucci was soft. Throw in hot syrup as soon as you remove it from the stove. The recipe is for orange peels, if I'm not mistaken. Do not replace anything soft. Will smear.

my sandals-cavalucci))) I don't know what they should be, they turned out to be tough-harsh, but tasty, very fragrant. I did not crack, although they grew a little in the oven, I think my flour is dry, I added 4 tablespoons of water, I had to add more.

Yaroslavna, I am very glad that you liked the cavalucci. They will not be soft, but you cannot call them hard either. Correctly noticed that you can add more water and, perhaps, hold less in the oven.
