Kitfort KT-2807 - humidifier-air fragrance
According to the current Russian standards for normal human well-being, the relative humidity in residential premises should be in the range from 45% to 65%.

Why is dry air bad? If a person is constantly in a room with dry air, then negative effects gradually appear: attention worsens, fatigue increases, and general immunity decreases.

Dry air negatively affects the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx, reducing their ability to protect the body from colds. There is dry throat and nose, cough, shortness of breath. Continuous exposure to dry air can disrupt the entire respiratory system, contributing to the development of asthma and other respiratory diseases.

Dry air is also bad for the skin. The consequences of its effects are expressed in the dryness of the skin itself, the appearance of small cracks, especially on the skin of the hands, redness and peeling. With constant exposure, dry air leads to increased susceptibility to all "contact" infections, local inflammation, minor wounds and premature skin aging.

Dry air is especially harmful for children, people with respiratory diseases and the elderly.

Young children are most susceptible to moisture levels. If, on average, the human body consists of 60% of water, then in a child this figure is higher. It follows from this that young children are physiologically more sensitive to dehydration and especially suffer from dry air. Considering that a child's metabolism is much more intense than that of an adult, and in order to avoid overheating, the child is much more actively cooled by breathing, the humidity in the nursery should be maintained at a level above the recommended average.

Air humidity in the apartment affects not only us, but also the quality of our home. Wooden furniture and parquet flooring is very difficult to tolerate both the lack of moisture and its drops. Normal humidity in the apartment is also required for books and documents, especially old publications, equipment and houseplants.

As soon as cold weather sets in, the humidity level in the room drops. This is because heating increases the temperature but does not increase the absolute amount of moisture in the air. For example, at an outdoor temperature of -10 ° C and a relative humidity of 80%, the absolute humidity is 1.9 g / m3 (these are tabular data, you can easily find them in a reference book or on the Internet). If this air is heated to 20 ° C (when it enters the room), then its absolute humidity, that is, the amount of water it contains, will not change, but relative to the maximum absolute humidity at this temperature (17.3 g / m3) it will be 10.9%, which is significantly below the comfortable level.

Briefly summarizing: in winter, outside air after heating to room temperature becomes dry. In this example, its relative humidity drops from 80% to 10.9%. Recall that comfortable humidity is 45-65%.

All areas, especially residential areas, should be ventilated to remove carbon dioxide from breathing. In this case, the used air leaves the room, and new air from the street comes in to replace it. Besides ventilation, you can manually ventilate by opening a window. Air coming from outside heats up the room and its relative humidity becomes low. In winter, the air in the room must be constantly humidified, since it is constantly dehumidified due to ventilation.

Humidifiers are used to increase air humidity to a comfortable level.

Ultrasonic humidifiers are considered the most effective air humidifier available. The principle of operation of such a humidifier is simple. Inside it is a piezoceramic emitter immersed in water, which, using ultrasonic vibrations, knocks out the smallest droplets of water from the surface of the water, creating a water mist. This mist is blown out by a small fan and then carried through the room by natural air currents. Fog particles are small, they have a large total surface area, and therefore quickly evaporate, which leads to an increase in the relative humidity of the air.

Ultrasonic humidifier-air freshener KT-2807 humidifies the air in the room, creating a good microclimate for people to live. You can also use this device as a fragrance: just add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the reservoir. During the operation of the humidifier, the fragrance will evaporate and, together with the mist, blown out by the air stream. According to numerous studies, essential oils have beneficial effects on the physical and mental health of people. Thus, you will have a good microclimate in your room and always have a pleasant aroma.

In the aroma humidifier, using the buttons on the front panel, you can set the intensity of the fog, turn on or off the backlight in the case. The body of the fragrance humidifier is illuminated from the inside in different colors, it can be used as a night light at night.

KT-2807 is easy to operate and maintain, it is highly reliable in operation. It can be used in rooms and apartments, the area of which does not exceed 25-30 m2.

Do not expose the device to direct sunlight. Install the humidifier away from furniture and electrical appliances.
If the device will not be used for a long time, disconnect it from the mains. Always unplug the appliance if you want to empty the water tank.

About using essential oils

It is recommended to use 100% natural essential oils or certified aromatic blends with a quality composition. Inhalation of synthetic and unnatural oils can be harmful to human health.
Add essential oil to the reservoir at a rate of 7-11 drops per liter of water. Wash the water tank thoroughly after each use to remove any residual oil. For details, see the chapter "Cleaning, maintenance, care and storage of the humidifier".
Some fragrance oils are insoluble in water and tend to remain, so clean the reservoir regularly. If washed poorly, the oil that remains there can give off an unpleasant odor over time and form a sediment at the bottom of the tank.
Natural essential oils can cause allergies. Be careful. If you feel unwell while using the device, turn it off immediately.
Pregnant women, the elderly, young children, or people with chronic illnesses may be sensitive to odors.
Store the essential oil in a cool, dark place with a tightly closed lid and away from children and animals.
Use essential oils according to their expiration date: within one year of first opening and within six months for citrus essential oils.
A list of popular essential oils that have a good effect on individual organs and the general condition of the human body:
  • Orange. It has a positive effect on mood, awakens vigor and energy, helps to get rid of anxiety and insomnia. Promotes digestion and heart function.
  • Basil. Well removes spasmodic attacks, especially severe headaches.
  • Eucalyptus. Kills viral infections, protects against germs.
  • Tea tree. Similar in its action to eucalyptus. Helps repel insects.
  • Bergamot. Helps to fight fungus in the home, stimulates the creative brain area.
  • Lemon. Fights viruses, relieves headaches rather quickly.
  • Lavender. It has a good effect on the emotional background in case of depression, devastation and instability of the psychological state.
  • Pine, fir, peppermint are used for colds.

Calculation of humidification time for a room with an ultrasonic humidifier
For example, let's take an abstract room of 10 m2 with a ceiling height of 3 m. The volume of this room will be 30 m3.
At an outdoor temperature of -10 ° C and a relative humidity of 80%, the absolute air humidity will be 1.9 g / m3 (the data is taken from the table, which indicates the absolute humidity in g / m3 for various ambient temperatures for a given relative humidity). At a temperature of 20 ° C and a relative humidity of 80%, the absolute air humidity from the same table should be 13.8 g / m3.
We fill our room with street air and heat it from -10 to +20 ° C, while the absolute humidity does not change and is the same 1.9 g / m3. Now we need to increase the water content in the air so that its relative humidity at +20 ° C becomes 80%. Let's calculate how much water we need to add:
13.8 g / m3 - 1.9 g / m3 = 11.9 g / m3,
11.9 g / m3 • 30 m3 = 357 g of water.
In total, we need to evaporate 357 g of water to reach 80% relative humidity.
Based on the fact that the maximum evaporation of water in an ultrasonic humidifier is on average 250 ml / h, we find that on average it will take a humidifier 1.5 hours to humidify a room with a volume of 30 m3.
For normal human well-being, the relative humidity in residential premises should be in the range from 45% to 65%. Therefore, we calculate the absolute humidity in the room at a relative humidity of 60%.
At 20 ° C (indoor) and 60% relative humidity, the absolute air humidity from the same table will be 10.4 g / m3. Let's do the same calculations:
10.4 g / m3 - 1.9 g / m3 = 8.5 g / m3,
8.5 g / m3 • 30 m3 = 255 g of water.
Based on the fact that the maximum evaporation of water in the ultrasonic humidifier is 250 ml / h, we find that on average it will take a humidifier 1 hour to humidify a room with a volume of 30 m3.

Cleaning, maintenance, care and storage of the humidifier

Since the particles of water mist in the humidifier are obtained from water mechanically, they contain everything that was contained in the water of the working volume of the humidifier - hardness salts and other soluble mineral substances, microorganisms and their spores, etc. After evaporation of the mist, everything that was dissolved or suspended in its water component, - or becomes a dry residue, or is deposited on the emitter. Therefore, it is important to fill the reservoir with clean water with a low salt content, prevent blooming, and regularly rinse the reservoir and humidifier base to remove organic and inorganic deposits.
Disconnect the humidifier from the power supply before cleaning.
Wipe the cabinet with a damp and then dry cloth.
Clean the reservoir every time before filling with water. To do this, drain off the remaining water.
Clean the nozzle, nozzle cap, fog pillar, and reservoir cap with water and a soft bristle brush. Dry these parts and put them back in the humidifier.
Do not rub the piezoceramic transducer, otherwise it may be damaged.
Use soapy water or dishwashing liquid to remove any residual oil. Use a soft bristled brush to clean the reservoir, then fill with clean water several times, rinse and drain off the remaining water.
For effective removal of limescale and other deposits, use a special moisturizer or 9% vinegar. Take vinegar and clean water in a 1 to 1 ratio, vinegar can be replaced with citric acid (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). Pour the agent into the reservoir, remove any deposits from the inside of the humidifier with a soft bristle brush. Descale, if necessary, nozzle, nozzle cap, fog column. Rinse the reservoir and all parts of the humidifier thoroughly with clean water.
Do not use abrasive materials that will damage the surface of the humidifier.
If the humidifier is not used for a long time, clean and dry all parts of the humidifier. Store the device in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.
