Ingredients

Flour 3 cups
Warm water
(45 C / 110 F,
you can replace half with warm milk)
1 ¼ cup
Salt 1 ½ tsp
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
Olive oil 2 tbsp. l.
Dry yeast 2 ½ tsp
Grated parmesan cheese 3 tbsp. l.
Dried marjoram
(I replaced with rosemary)
1 ½ tsp
Dried thyme 1 ½ tsp
Dried basil 1 tsp
Dried oregano 1 tsp
Bran 3 tbsp. l.
Dry yeast
(active dry yeast, pack)
7 g

Cooking method

  • (loaf about 700 g)
  • 1 cup = 240 ml, 1 tbsp. l. = 15 ml, 1 tsp. = 5 ml

Last week I depicted a variation on the recipe of the Allrecipes.com website - I added bran, and it turned out to be a very fragrant airy bread with bran. This bread went well with various vegetable puree soups, and also in the form of croutons in a green salad and toast with mozzarella and tomato (I just put a thin slice of tomato on the bread between two slices of cheese, I didn't even have to season with basil and grill for a couple of minutes - SUCH yummy turned out

I baked this bread the day before yesterday. What a miracle happened. I replaced the water with whey. Instead of olive oil - the usual sunflower oil, I used herbs - which were at hand - dry dill, parsley, rosemary, basil. The bread rose above the bucket, although I set it to medium size. And what a soft, on the 3rd day it was still soft and springy. The cheese was added at once with all the ingredients.

Today I baked this bread .. What a wonderful bread !!!! .. pleasant aroma of herbs .. put a mixture of French herbs (rosemary, marjoram, basil) and also added oregano ..
Instead of bran, I put muesli - Ready breakfast .. here is its composition: creamy cocktail (oats, wheat, barley, rye, buckwheat, semolina, corn), pineapple-mango, kiwi, papaya, strawberry
I took ordinary cheese, not parmesan ..
Bread is very good for broth, light soup .. goes well with cheese, vegetables ..

I replaced the water with beer and reduced the amount of yeast. This did not affect the result.
