flour 450 g
sugar 1 tbsp. l.
salt 1 tsp
warm milk 260 ml
dry yeast 4 g
melted butter into dough 60 g
butter for lubrication 20 g
sesame
egg or yolk for lubrication 1 PC

Homemade bread is the most delicious! The creamy aroma of this bread can be heard a mile away. It is delicate, airy and delicious. Gathering the family around the table and serving fresh pastries for breakfast or lunch is magical, isn't it?
There are many options for this bread, including on this site, but I share my version with you. This bread is called pogacice))) or elephant ear. Very delicate, soft, comfortable ... With a creamy aroma. You can safely tear it off, like the leaves of a calendar, or make a sandwich.

Today I had an adventure with this bread. I redid the recipe for myself (and the components and the process itself) even before the first preparation (knowing the baking technology), but ... when I put the bread in the oven ... the form slipped out of my hands and it turned over onto the oven door (((I had to put the dough ... and this is again a few hours !!! Try and bake it at home.The recipe is very simple and affordable and this wonderful bread will definitely not leave you indifferent.
Pour yeast, sugar into warm milk, add 150 g of flour, stir.
Cover with a towel and leave the dough for 20 minutes.
Add salt, melted butter to the finished dough, stir and gradually add flour.
Pogacice or elephant ear
Knead a not steep, slightly sticky dough.
We take our dough and roll up a ball, put it back in a bowl powdered with flour.

Cover with foil and let it rise for about an hour in a warm place (about 26-28C).
We take out the dough, stretch it and fold it in an envelope (do not crumple it).
We remove again under the film to approach for another hour. For the second hour it came up even stronger for me, but I forgot to take a picture.

We dust the table, spread the dough and, without crushing, divide the dough into 16 pieces, form balls from them, then flatten each ball with our hands into a cake with a diameter of 8 cm.

Cover the bottom of a mold with a diameter of 25 cm with baking paper (I have 26.5), grease the sides with oil. Each circle we rolled out, stretch it slightly in different directions up to 10 cm wide and without dipping, but slightly, but at the same time - from all sides, coat with a palm or a brush with melted butter.

We lay the coated cakes with a flower overlapping one by one.

Cover with foil and let rise warm for 30 minutes.

Lubricate with yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds

We bake at 180C until tender ... mine was baked for 27 minutes, look at your oven. Let cool slightly under a towel, bon appetit

I prepared it today. Cools down. 35 minutes in the oven at 185 top + bottom was a bit short.It was necessary to hold it for another 5 minutes, hence the sides are unburned. I'll tell you about the flavor nuances tomorrow. I didn't get it so shiny, maybe I very modestly smeared the top with yolk, or I needed something else later. I have little experience in baking bread in the oven, but the difference from a bread machine)))). The hand is not full. Therefore, we will try further, but I have already realized that my oven almost never coincides with the recipe time. I always need mine plus 10 minutes minimum. Thank you, a pleasant recipe, both in performance and in the result.
