Bread Maker Panasonic SD-257
Margit
A friend should come to me in July from Germany, can she order to bring it? I wonder how expensive it can get?
Although there is no hurry, and they will soon appear in Russia.
Rina
On the official website of Panasonic, the price for the 257 model is the same as for 255 - 199 euros. But this model is not yet on the Amazon. Let's wait and see
Margit
I understand that the new model is more improved, with a Teflon diamond coating on the bucket, and the temperature equalization in the new model will be no more than 30 minutes. That would certainly be great!
sazalexter
Rina72 The saddest thing is that this model can only be produced for Germany,
as there is HP only for Japan, or only for America https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=44300.0
alignment in time is also "mostly" 25-60 min 🔗
Rina
Maybe this. But I don’t think that Panasonic will make a stove for only one country. The market is too small, and we know the Panasonic lineup. Most likely what will happen for the whole of Europe with small variations (like the 255th model). Now, whether it will go to the CIS countries is already a question.

Full analogue of 255 Toko added Italian hlab (different recipe) vent hole can be on the left and .... everything is in English ???
Mams_2010
The 257th and 256th models are already on sale in Eldorada. 256 - without dispenser, 257 - with dispenser.
Since there were no instructions, I did not see the difference between the 257 and 255, except for the color of Teflon. For new models, it is darker, almost black.
The scoreboard is all in Russian. Stickers in Russian and Ukrainian. So, the product is clearly for Russia / Ukraine.

Oh, I found the instructions! 🔗] https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/s-image/2896/upload/iblock/161/sd-256_sd-257.pdf

Strange, but where did you see "Italian"? ??? I looked at the instructions at the link Mams_2010. Everything is an absolute copy of the 254/255!
Rina
Italian, like sandwich, is the European version going to East Britain and Germany, for example. For the CIS market, these programs have been replaced by jam / jam and dough for dumplings. Here is a video about the local HP.
Alexa13
Thank you, now I understand.
Alexa13
Only, nevertheless, I cannot find the differences between 255 and 257 yet! It seems to be exactly the same! The only thing, on the website of one online store, they write that the bucket is with some kind of diamond coating, that is, there must be a very stable non-stick coating. But there is nothing about this in the instructions. And so the appearance, and programs, instructions - all one to one, in my opinion. And power. It's strange why the model number is different ... They must be different somehow! I think 255 owners will be able to tell the difference better.

And also the menu item "brioche". In the "Russian" version there are 9 menu programs (main, dietetic, rye, French, gluten-free, jam, dumplings, pizza, pastries), and in the "European" - 10! sides of the display by five points (in Russian 5 and 4).
Rina
On a German site, something was mentioned about rye with raisins (in fact, what was it worth adding to the rye dough in the same model with a dispenser?). As far as I understand, "brioche" is supposed to be rich sweet bread. It is also unclear why it was necessary to remove this program, we just very often bake just sweet yeast dough, and it requires slightly different conditions than in the same basic mode.

If the situation with these 256/257 is such that the difference from the 254/255 models is only the coating of the bucket and paddles, then it's strange why it was positioned as a novelty, instead of doing something like 255.1.

But in any case, for those who were just going to buy a new HP and were looking towards Panasonic, it is better to pay attention to the new model. Covering the bucket is a serious enough moment to choose.

How to explain that the price of 257 is obviously cheaper than 255

And what, isn’t the new material (which may well be this newest coating) has no right to be black? In fact, Teflon is not mentioned anywhere, and there is now a sufficient range of non-stick materials.
ava
yes everything can be in our world. But why is it cheaper? isn't it interesting?
sazalexter
Rina72 In general, the old HP did not mention that it was Teflon. Teflon® is a registered trademark of DuPont Corporation
And this means deductions to the company, and this will affect the price of the final product.
And Panasonic itself likes to be a patent holder. Therefore, they write "non-stick coating"

in the form of a DIFFERENCE 3.
1- The color of the bucket has become black (how strong the new coating is is not known, in all cases it SHOULD not be worse (still a firm)
2- the second (top) gray cover (the stove began to look like a bucket for garbage more, but !! with electronic control) BUT THIS IS THE MOST COMPACT DEVICE !!!!! \
And 3 - Large Large sticker on the front.

just such a device was presented to me yesterday by my beloved husband in honor of my birthday. We went to the store together. The miracle saleswoman told me for a long time that 255 is no longer produced, now there are 256 and 257. 256 has no dispenser, and 257 has 3 crust colors and a dispenser, which was not in 255 !!! I still had doubts about the color of the crust, but about the dispenser, the saleswoman was immediately caught in deception. After that, she persistently tried to convince me that I need to take ONLY Moulinex because as soon as he can ... prepare dough for bread, and Panasonic can only make dough for pizza and dumplings. I left the store with my head held high and with a Panasonic. I hope it's not in vain ... testing will be today!

That's what it means to productively study the topic. Now sellers won't be able to mislead. I wish you successful testing!

I continue to boast - my first bread from SD-257! it turned out the first time, only I crushed the crust myself, while I got used to it and remove the bucket! the bread was solemnly taken to the father-in-law and will die in 3 seconds. An order has already been received for rye ...
Now, for the promise to feed bread on demand, I also try to bargain for a dishwasher.

Congratulations! The bread is good. And so that the thin top crust does not wrinkle when shaking out of the mold, put the bucket at an angle to the table top (not 90 degrees), then it will go out onto the plump side crust and will not be remembered.

And how many rubles is such an "electronically controlled trash bin"?
Is it really smaller, or did it seem to me?
In general, such a pretty ... Probably, I would buy a second one (for the sake of the collection, as they used to collect samovars), but so far the old one is enough ....

Dimensions (WxHxD) 330x370x280 mm
Weight 6.8 kg and price from 5700 to 8900, depending on the store
sazalexter
musyanya And not what kind of "electronic trash can"
And your own exclusive design from Panasonic Try to find a similar HP from other manufacturers
ava

The design is the most ordinary and this is a special plus, does not frighten with its futurism, but reminds something "familiar, simple and not complicated" and fits into any setting (high tech, village, just a kitchen). And a large display on which you can see everything at once? ... but it's not difficult for a child! Our children are now in charge of bread! Noble pride in children: - Dad, Mom, we feed you with bread
CBETA
Please help me decide what to choose 255 or 257? The function of yeast-free bread is very important (not sweet pastries, but ordinary white and rye bread). Is it realistic to bake such bread?
Hope
CBETA Such bread can be baked on any of these and not only these ovens.
I would now take 257, or better 256, which is without a dispenser (I don't use it). I would like to try the new coating of the bucket, otherwise in my stove it has peeled off after 3 years of intensive work.
ava
Well, the bucket shuffled, because nothing sticks, and this is the main thing! and three years later again! I want a new stove, with a new bucket coating! The stoves are EQUAL! It's easier to order a new bucket, if you are very good.
Hope
The fact of the matter is that the bread began to be pulled out with difficulty. I have already asked the price for new buckets and mixers, it turns out it is more profitable to buy a new stove than to restore an old one. The difference in price is small.
I think that my stove will work for another year or two.
ava
Yeah, yeah. And forgive me for asking how often the oven was used?
sazalexter
Hope Stirrer + bucket about 2 tyr, and you say new HP for 6.5-8tyr cheaper
Hope
Panasonic SD-256 can be purchased for 4800r. Those shops where I could buy a bucket and shovels increased prices to 3500 rubles (I don't remember exactly now). For example such prices: 🔗
How do you like it?
So I'd rather pay 1300 extra and buy a new stove than pay those sellers.

ava Now I use the stove 4 times a week, sometimes more often.

I choose my model of a bread machine. I love Panasonic very much, but it is very important for me that the oven bakes baguettes and rye bread. Everything about rye bread is clear - it bakes, but so that baguettes are baked, I did not find a single Panasonic model. That there is no such model yet?
sazalexter
sveta200888 mini "baguettes" are baked only by Moulinex 5004 and 6002, and even then not in automatic mode. At Panasonic you can knead dough and bake real baguettes in the oven

Thanks for the quick response)). Interestingly, and the Moulinex firm loses much to Panasonic in product quality?

I met a Phillips stove in the store. It was stated in the instructions that she also bakes baguettes

bought in an online store for 6,000 rubles.
For the first time I baked French bread according to the standard recipe from the manual with a delayed start for 9 hours. Everything turned out well.
The second time I baked according to my modernized recipe from the manual (I took bread with fruits and nuts as a basis; there I changed 400 g wheat flour for 300 g wheat flour and 100 g oatmeal, replaced the water with kefir, instead of nuts I used seeds, dried pineapple as fruit) Delayed start for 11 hours.Everything turned out well and the bread is delicious - it turned out gray (it came out a little sweetish, you probably need less sugar and honey, or use prunes instead of pineapple).

Compare instructions for 254/255 and 256/257. The modes are absolutely identical, the recipes are the same. Would add at least the possibility of self-programming, or something.

It looks like there is nothing new besides the coating of the bucket. I wonder how much improved it is. And then my coverage at 254 really crumbled very quickly, and a year had not passed. I had to file a claim, but I was too lazy to do it then.

To preserve the coating of the bucket longer, you need to use extra fine salt for baking, I read this advice on our forum, (I don't remember whose), I have had HP for almost a year, but I have been driving it mercilessly, I bake bread for 2 families, dough for dumplings, dumplings, pizza, etc. also for 2 families, the coating is still intact, the mixer was really scratched with a knife (guests hurried up, it sometimes remains in rye bread), it was almost immediately after the purchase of HP, if it were not for our traditional hospitality, I would have killed, but I kept silent, I thought the stirrer will peel off completely now, but it does not hold on like this, although thanks to these scratches I managed to see that it is quite thick there (coating)

It is clear that coarse salt or sugar will scratch the coating, so I don't use them. Moreover, I prepare in advance, especially for baking, a solution of sugar and salt in water (among other things, as I already wrote here on the forum, this has a beneficial effect on the evenness of the "roof"). And the coating on the convex guides is peeled off when the bread is shaken out of the mold, its bread crust scratches.

Subtract the used volume of liquid for the solution from the subsequent volume of the liquid to be poured?

In 2 words, repeat pliz - how to prepare the solution.

120 g sugar + 55 g coarse sea salt (corresponds to 10 tablespoons of sugar and 10 teaspoons of salt) dissolve in boiling water, bring weight solution exactly up to 700 g. I filter through the filter from the coffee maker, because sometimes any garbage comes across in the sugar.

Let's say a recipe requires 1 tbsp. l. sugar and 1 tsp. salt (a fairly common case). Then I just measure by email. scales 70 g solution. In addition, it is convenient to scale recipes with a solution - for example, if you need to reduce or increase all ingredients by 10 percent.
