Pickled tomatoes (for those who do not like spicy)

Ingredients

For one 3 l. bank:
Onion (cut into 4 pieces) 1 PC.
Bulgarian pepper (cut into 4 parts) 1 PC.
Carnation 4 things.
Allspice 4 things.
Peppercorns 4 things.
Lavrushka 1 PC.
Celery 2 branches
Parsley leaves 2 twigs
Garlic 1 clove
Marinade for 3 pcs.-3. l. banks
(water about 4.5 l):
Sugar 14 Art. l.
Salt 12 tsp
Vinegar-9% - when everything boils. 1 tbsp.
(250 ml)

Cooking method

  • Put a pot of water on the gas until it boils, we will prepare everything.
  • Fill the jar with tomatoes. Our water has already boiled, pour tomatoes with this water, cover with a lid. And we wait until the cans cool, about 1 hour .. Then we pour the water from the cans back into the pan and bring it to a boil again. The water has boiled again, we fill our jars with boiling water, covering with a lid. And we wait again until they cool down. The cans have cooled down, we pour everything into a saucepan and only now we are preparing our marinade.
  • Pour tomatoes with this marinade and roll up. Turn the cans over and wrap them well with a blanket until they cool completely.

The recipe is excellent, I have been doing this myself for many years, although I do the second pouring with the marinade itself and before pouring I add aspirin 2 tablets and oak bark, 100% cans do not explode, aspirin is a preservative, and oak bark and aroma are given by an antiseptic too .. .. I also put all sorts of leaves there (horseradish, dill in stalks, cherries, currants), and in the marinade I put a ready-made mixture for pickling tomatoes (preferably Polish or Czech) that is not there ... and all the spices, and carrots, and garlic , I like her very much

I have not tried it with oak bark. But they never explode without aspirin.
