Jam in CUCKOO

Jam in CUCKOO (cooking technology)

This idea, to cook jam in Kuku, has been sitting in my mind for a long time….
I thought it over and got to the pan.
I must say right away, do not try to do this in the Multi-Cook mode, it will not work - I tried it.

It is important for jam that moisture evaporates from the berries., the jam is thick - this does not happen in the Multi-Cook mode.

I did not specially prepare for this, therefore, a set of fruits - that was in the refrigerator. I didn't even peel the fruit, just washed it, cleaned the bad places, cut it into large cubes (so as not to boil too much), cut the plums in half.
sazalexter I wanted jam, but I went to make it

Proportions:
Do not put a lot of berries with sugar in the pan.
Optimally - up to half the pan. I had 1 kg of fruit and 500 grams of sugar, 150 ml of water.
Water was added, since the fruit was not infused with sugar, there was no liquid to form a syrup.
Better, after all, first cover the fruit with sugar, leave it overnight to form its own juice. Then the jam will turn out to be thick, not watery.
In Kuku, the cooking time is short, and a large amount of liquid does not have time to evaporate, the jam can turn out to be liquid.
It tastes normal, not very sweet - what I eat.

Mode:
I ended up using (after some experimentation) the Oven mode.
You can turn on the Oven mode, level 2 or 3 and set the time to 3-5 minutes. But in the oven (with the lid closed) everything cooks very quickly, steam pours down with a pipe (which is what is needed for jam!), Everything boils and rages and wants to get out. I looked, looked at it and turned off Cancellation the pan after about 5-7 minutes pot work.
The result is such a well-cooked jam. The taste is normal.
From this amount, a 900 ml jar of jam was obtained. - closed it under the lid.
After cooling down, a little jelly is visible in the jar - from the presence of apples and plums.

Possible options:
1. Use the Oven mode with level 2 (less temperature) and a time of 3 minutes - but turn off Cancel, after 5-7 minutes of operation of the pan.

2.use Oven mode with the lid open, level 2 or 3 (you need to select), set the time with a margin (30 minutes !?), and then turn it off after the fact.
This mode may be preferable, since the lid is open and you can stir the jam and monitor the process.

3. You can try using the Browning mode. Select parameters yourself.

I do not intend to cook jam in Kuku - this is so, try the pen, see if you can do it or not. Well, maybe someday it will come in handy as a way out and in small doses.
What struck the most was the readiness of the jam, the cooked fruit, the presence of jelly in it, and at the same time the preservation of the pieces of fruit for such a short cooking time and with such a violent boil

Bon appetit, everyone!
Try it and it will definitely work!

Later
No, I'll try again to make lingonberry jam, my soul itching to the end of the problem to solve
I will select the Oven mode with the lid open - and what will happen next - I will write

Admin !!!Have you tried BISQUIT on the program ??? I somehow adapted and I like it ooooooochen !!!!

zvezda, and I will not even try These are my trial experiments

I prefer to cook the jam according to the classic scheme - the liquid should evaporate from the berries with the lid open And I cook it 4 times.

Admin, I want to cook frozen cherry jam.I don't want to get the pot lid dirty if it boils too much. What do you think, and if you remove the valve, maybe the jam won't run away?

The main thing is not more than 300-350 g of sugar and 300-350 g of berries, then it will definitely not run away
I cooked quince in Stew.

Tanyusha, Thank you. I have a bag of 300 g, and I want to put very little sugar.
