Gingerbread cookies

Ingredients

Wheat flour 350 g
Salt 1/2 tsp
Sugar 2/3 st.
Butter or margarine 100 g
Egg 2 pcs.
Baking powder 2 tsp
Ginger (I took fresh grated) 2 tsp
Honey 3 tbsp. l.
Cinnamon 1 tbsp. l.
Carnation 8 pcs.
Cocoa (optional) 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Crush the cloves in a mortar. Mix flour with baking powder, pour into a food processor. Add butter, sugar and all the spices. Break everything into crumbs with utility knives. Add eggs one at a time. Knead a soft, non-sticky, plastic dough. If it does not grasp into one lump, but remains a crumb, add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of vegetable oil. If, on the contrary, the dough is sticky, then add 1-2 tablespoons of flour. As a result, a pretty bun should be formed. Put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Roll out a 3-5 mm thick layer on a floured board with a rolling pin. Cut out cookie cutters.

Earlier I was somehow afraid to knead the dough in a food processor, but now it's easy! And I like how the combine does it - easy and simple! Today I kneaded the dough for gingerbread cookies. The whole process took several minutes. I made two servings - in one I added a little cocoa so that the cookies were some lighter and others darker.
