Yesterday I did this: I ground raw apricots + sugar in a blender and poured it into plastic marshmallow trays of the Isidri dryer, leveled it with a spoon. Be sure to grease the trays with vegetable oil.
Natusichka
Lenusya, and I don't add sugar to the pastille, when it dries up, the liquid evaporates and it becomes sweet by itself.

I’ll tell you from my own experience, I don’t know what I did wrong .... I whipped ripe apricots in a blender, mixed with sugar and on a lightly oiled tray, dried them. I tried it - it was very tasty, and when I got it out in winter - it was impossible to eat, the oil got old and this smell of old oil soaked all the marshmallow In general, I had to throw it away ..... Although the oil was odorless!
Natusichka
atlantis! Don't scare me! I did so much of it .... Where did you store it?

Girls, links to other sources are prohibited, so I copy an excerpt from an article found on the Internet:

I also decided to try to cook this "yummy". Fortunately, the Isidri dryer has already been purchased. The first samples were on strawberries. I did everything according to the instructions: chopped the berries, added a little honey and poured this mixture onto a tray greased with homemade cream. I liked it, but the smell of cream still interfered with the strawberry aroma. I realized that in the preparation of marshmallows, a very important role is played by the fat with which the trays are lubricated. Many, of course, still use refined sunflower oils of the so-called "cold pressed", but I have long excluded it from everyday life as a very harmful product. And, thanks to the pastille, I found a way to cleanse and store for a long time ordinary raw-pressed butter, bought "from grandmothers" on the market.

I clean it with EM-ceramic powder: I drop 1/5 teaspoon of this powder for 3 liters. In order to neutralize the possible presence of harmful substances left over after diligent cultivation of sunflowers with the use of pesticides. And to stop the aging process of the oil. To keep it fresh for a long time, I also use vacuum caps (VAX). When I started pumping out the air, I was surprised by the amount of oxygen in the sunflower oil. The bubbles were like champagne! It is necessary to pump out until the bubbles disappear completely. I do this several times. And then the oil is stored on the shelf in the kitchen. Despite the summer heat, it not only does not age, but even improves its taste. The sump must be lubricated with oil so that no streaks are visible. I do it with a cotton swab.

I prepared marshmallow according to this recipe and poured it onto baking paper.
My marshmallow did not have time to move to the jars) everyone was swept straight from the drying

Tell me, when you make pastille from fresh fruit, well, let's say you beat it in a blender - juice is formed, if it is on parchment, will the juice drain anyway? Or do you drain the juice through a fine sieve, and the rest of the fruit slurry onto a tray covered with parchment? I never made marshmallow, but I love
Natusichka
Natasha, after the blender, it turns out not juice, but a thick gruel. I did not try to dry on parchment ... I have special trays for marshmallows, I have an Isidri-500 dryer, like this
Apricot pastila

and this is a drying mesh, which is also very convenient:

no, I definitely do not have such trays for grazing as in Isidri, that's why I'm asking. While I just ordered the dryer, I already came, but I haven't picked it up yet
Natusichka
The girls somehow poured a thin layer on food paper ... it seems to me that you need to lubricate with something ... but I'm not sure ... better flip through the topic ...

oil is smeared with sunflower

It seems to me that the oil will acquire an unpleasant aftertaste during storage ...
Maybe I am wrong...

There is such a thing. The smell is more pronounced later during storage, and it is not entirely pleasant - or only it lays on my nose like that
So I stopped making tomato chips with butter. Only pure tomatoes and spices It is good to dry with oil if eaten immediately or stored for a short time.

In, Tanya, then my instinct does not let me down!

And without oil it will not stick in any way ?? I kind of read that they put the dried one in the refrigerator and after an hour it is easy to remove it, you have to try it.
Lenusya
I store the finished marshmallow in the freezer - there is no taste of old rancid butter.
