Already several times I read on the forum that the microwave is used not only for heating and defrosting (like some backward comrades, such as upstart hairpins), but even ... a rum woman is baked in it!

I fry seeds in the microwave: no stench and no steam room over a hot frying pan!
Rinse the seeds, put them on a flat plate of rather large diameter with a layer of 1-1.5 cm. Power 850, time 4 minutes. Take out, stir and again in the microwave oven 850 for another 2-3 minutes. At the end of frying, you need to control the process so as not to overcook.

I cook potatoes I clean, + salt, + spices, you can crush a slice of garlic, a couple of drops of olive oil, put everything in a bag, tie it, and at full power for 7-10 minutes (depending on the size of the potato) Fast and very tasty side dish
obgorka_gu
I also fry the seeds, if I need a little, on a large-diameter plate (which is not a pity, it then deteriorates from the temperature of the seeds) and it is better to lay out along the edge of the plate and stir in 2 minutes after the start, I have 1000W 4 minutes for a fire
obgorka_gu
I used to make soup stew in a glass saucepan 1.5-2 liters for 20 minutes, chicken legs in a circle of a large plate towards the center in thin parts under mayonnaise also no longer and most of all I liked mackerel, it is without salt and almost without spices, only onion rings on top for juiciness (slices around the plate in the center only or the thinnest parts or empty
obgorka_gu
more mushrooms to pickle quickly, also 10 minutes and you can eat, baked potatoes if the salad is fast for 10 minutes or beets with carrots if you need a little too 10-15 minutes, oh I used to cook a lot of things, but now there is a choice in micro only when it's strong in a hurry
Svetl @ nka
I make chicken legs in different sauces, baking muffins and biscuits when the guests are on the doorstep - the cake is ready in 10 minutes. Until there was a multi, I cooked cereals and vegetables for a salad.

When I threw out the electric stove, there was a need for a good microwave oven with convection. I bought a Whirlpool, suffered for a long time (it turned out to be defective, like all the equipment in my house). And when there was a question about its replacement, I decided to buy Panasonic with an inverter. But after reading that the tables burned out there, I went to the office of Panasonic. And there I was stunned. The lady who consulted me said that she gives a tooth for the quality of the bread makers, the head for cutting off - about the multicooker. But don't take a microwave oven with an inverter, the table will burn out. I had to go back to Whirlpool and I don’t regret a few. Replaced with a new one and cook everything in it. On the Kripsovsky plate, there is a chic pizza like from a stone oven, cutlets, baked potatoes like in a McDuck. In pots, potatoes with mushrooms and chicken. I bake trout with herbs in my sleeve. Or Czech duck with sauerkraut. And I bake cakes and steamed vegetables for a salad (there is also a steamer in addition to the Kripsovsky plate) And quickly and tasty. There is no point in cooking soups in it - almost as long as on the stove.

obgorka_gu, Thank you.

zabu,
Is it possible to do all this in parts (more precisely, by posts) and in more detail?

Anastasia,
Are you baking a charlotte in the microwave?

I have an LG microwave (she is three years old). Before visiting the forum, it didn't even occur to me that something could be done there. I have three more buttons Micro, Grill and Combi. All three are virgin ... I went to look for instructions for them ... This was a post - a grumbling at myself.

Anastasia,
Are you baking a charlotte in the microwave?

Yes, I would also be very interested in the experience zabubecause I also have Whirlpool and it is always interesting to learn something new from the experience of others.

I make charlotte - I like it more than from the oven - when cooking in the microwave, a crust does not form on it at the top, as in the oven - from pop-up proteins - someone does not like it the other way around.
And for the rest, everything is according to the classic charlotte scheme and I bake on a CRISP plate. It turns out very quickly - 7-10 minutes in CRISP mode and you're done.

And here's another steamer for microwave ovens I would recommend to buy to owners of microwave ovens - with them it is great to steam very quickly and steam vegetables for salads, and chicken, and meat. Then I pour the broth out of the steamer and use it in a multitude when preparing many dishes, in particular, "village buckwheat" - with mushrooms and in meat broth, it is very tasty! I have two steamers. I posted a photo of them in the topic "Useful kitchen utensils", but here I will repeat it anyway. The one that is bigger has even an insert for cooking rice. For many microwave ovens, such steamers are already included.

Opachki, that's when I became thoughtful. I have an inverter Panasonic. It didn't sit on the table for long, nothing burnt. Now hanging on the wall. We probably hung it in time

It will work out. :) I have microwave without convection, only grill and combi.
lina
I cook in glass pans with lids - if not grilled. If with a grill - without a lid, or on a plate that came in the kit - so black, it looks like Teflon.
Cook the potatoes - in a saucepan under the lid, in water. I was not impressed in the bag (BooBu, it is possible in the usual packaging - the people and potatoes, and carrots, and beets are cooking - I saw it myself). Stew the potatoes with various additives, + sour cream / mayonnaise / cream. Vegetables. Stew the meat. A hen. meat or chicken with potatoes - in one saucepan. Fish. Omelet.
Grill (+ combi) - baked potatoes, fish with cheese. chicken - but somehow I am indifferent to such a chicken. cottage cheese casserole. Zucchini in season.
You can live without micro, but it's bad))) I use it constantly. The taste is different from cooked on the stove - some may not like it.
As for the volume - that you can cook more on the stove at a time - we don't need much, there are enough pots for 1 and 2 liters.
lina
Hairpin, the main power for cooking (mine) is full (800) or almost full (650). But the time depends on the volume. Two and three potatoes will cook at different times. In my small saucepan, I will cook a chicken and potatoes (for example) for 20 minutes maximum, and at work, where the pan barely fits, in half an hour just stir it and look in, it will cook for 40-50 minutes. Therefore, it's difficult to say the time)))) And it's even harder to say how much water to throw - everything is strictly by sight!

And in addition to heating and defrosting, I cook pasta in a micra: pour pasta into a glass saucepan, salt, pour boiling water about 1-2 cm above the level of pasta, stir and mix for 8-10 minutes at maximum power. Very convenient when there is no time!
larimari
I also sometimes cook potatoes for a side dish in the microwave:
peel the potatoes, cut into small cubes, in a glass saucepan, add a tablespoon of butter, close the lid and for 10-15 minutes at maximum power, then salt, mix and for another 10-15 minutes.

And I, like such a side dish, made hotter at work for festive gatherings, there were no special dishes, they found a large porcelain salad bowl and a flat plate instead of a lid and for a taste of potatoes I crumbled a smoked leg, special. seasoning for potatoes and butter, it was so delicious! first, just potatoes, spices and oil after the second mixing, it took about 40 minutes to cook, or maybe more, first for 20 minutes and then after 10 I checked the softness of the potatoes, a large salad bowl right under the roof and a micro one, they cooked for 700 watts. And even if at work a salad like Olivier stir up the hunt, potatoes are baked (or you can take chips), beat the eggs into an omelette and on a plate in a minute - three (depending on the quantity and power) bake, cut into strips, cut the rest
Viki
Each Teskom store has a large rack with utensils specifically for microwaves. For anyone, with or without bells and whistles. There's even a scrambled eggs tool and a muffin pan (in 7 minutes!). There is also a "double boiler" for the micro. and more .......
Vegetable stew:
Onions, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, zucchini, canned beans in sauce.
Cut everything except the beans, salt, pepper and mix with 1 tbsp. l. oils.
I cook for 15 minutes, my maximum power is 700 watts. During this time, I mix it three times.
I spread a layer of beans on top, heat up for 3 minutes, mix and cook for another 5 minutes.

I read Galina 57's post on the website of good cuisine. She doesn’t pick out hmm from the juicer, but collects it in ... it seems in the freezer (or refrigerator) until that (different) is typed 1/2 kg. Then he falls asleep with sugar and cooks in the microwave several times, stirring regularly. Send that something like marmalade turns out. Uses for baking.
And I don't like marmalade ...
Cubic
Wonderful .. so many different cooking times. Apparently and really everything depends on the micro model.

My old Samsung (microwaves, grill, combi) has ready-made modes, and recipes were attached to it:
1. RICE 125-500 g, 5 minutes: Rice + water (twice as much water as rice) under a closed lid, after turning off, stand for 5 minutes, stir before that.

2. BOILED POTATO 250-750 g, 3-4 min; Pick up potatoes of approximately the same size, + 45 ml of water, regardless of the number of potatoes)

3. VEGETABLES 200-700g, 2-3 minutes; Vegetables + 45 ml of water.

4. Fresh fish 200-700g, 2-3 minutes;

5. Frozen fish 200-800 g, 3-4 min.

All programs work, as I understand it, at the maximum (900W) power, cooking is in a dish with a CLOSED lid.

There are separate programs - recipes for combi and grill, if someone needs it, I will write.

Oh, excuse me, I didn't see footnotes in my manual, here they are:

* if you are cooking low-boiling potatoes, then press "+ power" before starting cooking

* if you are cooking tender vegetables (tomatoes), press "- power" before starting cooking

it follows that the stove does not cook everything at maximum power

Now for the grill / combi:

Everything is prepared on a stand, without a saucepan and without a lid, respectively:

1. BAKED POTATO, 200-225 g, 3-4 min; (PUT POTATOES, PUT IN A CIRCLE)

2. HAMBURGERS / FISH STICKS 200-450g, Oops .. no time ..., apparently until ready ??

3. ROST BEEF 1000-2000g, 5 min., In the middle of cooking a signal will sound to turn it over.

4. FRIED CHICKEN 700-1500 g, 5 min, see point 3.

5. PARTS OF CHICKEN FILM 400-900g, 2 min.

It was confusing for 5 minutes for roast beef and chicken, I haven't done such things in micro for a long time, I don't like it .. so I don't remember if the time is right.

I cook vegetables, potatoes regularly, 3-4 minutes. and you're done.

It is very good for those who, for various reasons, have nothing but a microwave. We lived like this for several months for a very long time, we cooked everything we could.

I really like the rice cooked in the microwave.
I cook in a clay pot or in a heat-resistant glass. Pour some vegetable oil at the bottom, washed rice there. And I put it on maximum power for 3 minutes. The rice should be soaked in oil and become translucent. If this has not happened yet, then you need to interfere and turn it on for another couple of minutes, the power can be reduced.
Then pour boiling water over the rice in a ratio of 1 part rice to 2 parts water. Salt, you can add your favorite seasonings. In the original recipe, a bouillon cube was recommended for a glass of liquid, but I am now a principled opponent of this type of product. And without the cube, the taste is wonderful!
Keep at full power until the liquid boils, then cover and hold at medium power for about 10 minutes.
Time is approximate, it all depends on the microwave model, its power.
The rice is crumbly and delicious.
P.S. Warning! Better to try at short intervals. If overheated, the rice cakes into a lump. True, you can soak it later, but this is a different dish

Here is such a ruddy and appetizing French meat (with onions and cheese) is obtained on a CRISP plate in the microwave in just 20 minutes and without preheating the oven. In the same way, you can fry chicken, chicken wings as a snack for beer until very crispy, bake a pie, etc.

Microwave. What can we do in it?
Always at home
I have a Binaton microwave, there are a lot of different modes in it, but I most actively use it only in the microwave mode. I tried convection, grilling, combi modes and auto-cooking, but they did not cause delight, somehow they all do it half-baked.
Usually I cook fish, chicken, potatoes, frozen vegetables - at full capacity. I don't make complicated dishes - soups, all sorts of stews. Once I baked a biscuit, it remained damp on convection, but the microwaves immediately brought it to condition. This week I made shortbread cookies in the "Convection + Microwaves" mode, I really liked it, 8 minutes on a platter with 14 cookies.

Hello!
I read the Temko from the 1st page, and I am in a slight bewilderment. I have had a Panasonic inverter Steam (steam) for 2.5 years already, and I have not heard or seen anything about burning the table. She stands on my table all the time, and two months ago I definitely put it forward - everything is in order. And I use it not only a lot, but mercilessly, because I used to live in a shared kitchen, you can't run into a common kitchen, but now we have moved to a new apartment, and I don't have an oven, email. the surface was temporarily allowed to use, but I sooo rarely use it. A month ago I bought a small cartoon - this is really a miracle saucepan.
So about the micr: I do almost everything in it: for the first time, soups, borscht - it's still only in it. Fast, minimum fat, tasty and beautiful in a transparent saucepan, retaining the color of all ingredients
Carcass, or grilled chicken, grilled potatoes in milk with nutmeg, well, etc.
I would like to say especially about baking.
I have a micra with an email function. ovens (without convection), and so, an ordinary fruit pie in the oven is baked for 70-75 minutes, and with the help of microwave + steam + oven for a total of 35-40 minutes, and it turns out to be much more airy.
So I am very pleased with my micro, and grateful to her.

then you are welcome with detailed recipes and preferably step by step photos, for example, I am very interested in soups
I am very sorry, but step-by-step will not work, because I don't have a camera down. Credit, you know, is not a joke in our time, you have to make new acquisitions very carefully and thoughtfully.
I will try to describe in more detail.
In mikra I have 6 power levels: 6 - 1000W; 5 - 700W; 4 - 550W; 3 - 400W; 2 - 300W; 1-tsa - 200W.
I have a saucepan for 4 liters of usable space.
First, I cut the vegetables: the quantity is very conditional, who loves how thick it is. I like it rather thick.
For example: a large onion, a large carrot, a celery root (the size of a fist), a parsnip root, two medium or one large potatoes, a small cauliflower (you can have a small zucchini), a small red sweet pepper - everything is cut to approximately the same size, the shape is what to your liking. I cut into cubes quite small, because the child is small.
We put in a saucepan (glass), pour 2 tbsp. grows spoons. oils, + seasonings (lavrushka, allspice, black pepper, 3-4 cloves, cumin (I love it very much, I put at least 1 tbsp. l.) or coriander, mix, cover and in a micron for 6-ke 8 minutes. We take out, mix, add chopped fresh greens (parsley, dill, celery, lovage, etc.). I also add a little 2-3 tablespoons of frozen peas and corn (very child loves to chase them on a plate), and paint like this Stir, put on another 6 for 2 minutes.
If you are cooking vegetable soup, then pour boiling water. Mine are recognized only in broth, and always with meat. It is advisable to warm up the broth beforehand.
We put the pan on another 6 for 4-5 minutes, stir, then on 3 for 5 minutes, and 1 for 8-10 minutes. It is programmed for me, so I program all three powers at once without mixing, and do not look in.
The salt is already at the end, it seems to me that the color is better preserved, and I also always add 1st tbsp with the salt. l. mustard ready (I do it myself) + 1 tbsp. l. Sahara.
Let stand for 10-15 minutes.
Greens can be put straight into a plate.

The recipe was spied on in the restaurant. Now, if guests are on the doorstep, the ordinary is ready in 15 minutes (subject to availability). Potatoes are washed very thoroughly, wiped dry. No need to clean. We cut into two halves, it should turn out, as it were, boats. We put them on a heat-resistant glass dish. (8 halves are included on the plate) Place the sausage on them, a little mayonnaise and in the oven. Combi program (oven + microwave) time 13 minutes, temperature 210 degrees. After the signal, after 13 minutes sprinkle with cheese on top and for another two minutes into the oven. There is no sausage in the refrigerator, you can do without it, just grease the halves with mayonnaise, but without cheese it is not so appetizing. I don't post photos, no potatoes.

Frozen vegetables do not fade when microwaved. Soups with frozen vegetables are directly dietary: vegetables are bright, do not fall apart, the broth is transparent. In winter, a lifesaver. I already wrote about baking in the microwave in the topic: "Baking in the microwave." I do any baking in the Baking / Convection mode, especially since I have a baking sheet in the microwave, like in a good oven (for 21 pies). Can't imagine what I would do without a microwave ?! I did not install an oven in the kitchen in the house due to lack of need. Microwave Vka copes wonderfully with everything.
In the apartment, I installed an oven with numerous functions: defrosting, heating, convection, multi-level simultaneous cooking, grilling and other things, but I haven't even tried it for 2 years, since I rarely visit the apartment. I didn’t buy a microwave there because I didn’t find it similar to mine in size and function. I have a Panasonic Dimension 4 (I translate: size 4, - hereinafter professional) made in Japan (and now all of China). It is unrealistic to buy one now. I'm not talking about the cost.

Hairpin, today I have not tried grilled chicken with mustard and honey myself (I’m in the mode), but judging by the happy hum of the family (they could not even tear themselves away to answer), it turned out just super! the smell was breathtaking, when I turned it over and watered it with juice, it almost melted like a snow maiden - just a little bit and only a puddle of saliva next to the microwave left thanks to this forum and you for the fact that you eat like this in old age and learn how

And I cook beets in the microwave for a fur coat, for venegrette salads. Very quickly and conveniently, the color does not lose a single gram. Like I already told you somewhere, but in this Temko it seems not. Is it necessary?

On the gudkuk forum, I read advice on how to prepare cabbage for cabbage rolls or schnitzels in the microwave. Yesterday I tried it, it turned out to be very good advice! Usually for these purposes the head of cabbage has to be blanched, but here
I marked it on a regular plate in the microwave at a power of 850 W and for 4 minutes, and you're done! The leaves have become soft, as with blanching. Time and power can be selected by yourself depending on the size of the head.
nata351
I have an ancient LG microwave with grill and convection. In 2002 I attended courses on cooking in micra. all recipes from those times.
Here is a recipe for apple jam, ideal for baking IMHO, who did not give this recipe, everyone really liked it, the apples turn out to be a beautiful amber color.
1. Two large apples, preferably sour.
2. Sugar to taste, I don't put it in at all, it's still very tasty.
3. Lemon juice to taste.

Three peeled apples on a coarse grater, add lemon juice + sugar, stir everything, put in the microwave in an open dish at 100% power, time 10 minutes, open after 5 minutes, stir, after ten minutes you get a jam of perfect consistency, pies with it get super.

But the favorite chicken recipe is very tasty.
You need a chicken, preferably a chicken weighing from 1 kg to 1.5 kg. Rub the chicken with spices. I spied on the version in the program of Yulia Vysotskaya. We take black or white peppercorns to taste, grind it in a mortar, add garlic 1 slice, grind it with pepper, add 1 tablespoon of salt without top or as much as you think is necessary and grind with a pestle to make a gruel, salt absorbs garlic juice very well, here I add a little paprika with burdocks and rub it again with a pestle, add quite a bit of olive oil to the mixture, mix everything. Rub the chicken with this mixture, put a bay leaf in the chicken, and leave it for at least an hour, and preferably more. Then we put the marinated chicken on the low wire rack on the back, place it on the pan. We put foil on the legs and arms of the chicken so that they do not dry out, make sure that the foil does not touch the grate, if necessary, use a thread to tie the legs and toothpicks to secure the handles. We set the microwave mode to 100% and send the chicken to the stove for 10 minutes, if a large chicken is for 11 minutes. After that, we take out the chicken, wipe the stove with a rag, pour water on the chicken itself, pour a little water into the pan so that the fat and juice from the chicken does not burn. We put the chicken in the stove. We select the cooking mode. If you only have a grill, take the combi grill mode and the average microwave power, in LG it is 40%, in other stoves it is different. We set the time for 20 minutes, cook for 12 minutes on the back, then take it out, remove the foil, pour the chicken with the resulting juice from the pail, turn it over and set it for the remaining 8 minutes. The second way if you have a convection mode. We select the combo mode convection of 250 degrees and medium microwave, set the time for 24 minutes, cook the first 18 minutes on the back, the last 8 on the tummy. The chicken turns out to be amazingly tasty and tender.

-dough-as usual-3 eggs, a glass of flour, a glass of sugar... Here I grease the CRISP plate with butter, thinly, thinly and it is better with butter. Then I pour out the dough and put apples on top. I put in the microwave on the CRISP mode and usually 7 minutes are enough... It turns out to be a very soft pie.

It turned out great! Well, what an original look, when apples are not everywhere, but only in half! It is very pleasant that my knowledge was useful! Now you can safely experiment with other dishes - it's not so difficult - you see - you already have an idea with a cake! You can try it, although the biscuit is quite tender there, you must try to make it according to the recipe Tortyzhki-t. That is, by all the rules, maybe it will turn out denser then. In general, there is full scope for imagination!

Girls, I need your help, I want to make cabbage rolls tomorrow.

I heard that cabbage is not boiled, but leaves are cooked in the microwave.

Here, tell me, more specifically how to do this?

Natasha, someone here wrote that you can put cabbage in the microwave on a regular plate at a power of 850 W for 4 minutes and the leaves become soft as after blanching. Time and power can be selected by yourself. I haven’t tried that, and someone else here wrote in the topic about frosts that you can put cabbage in the freezer overnight and ready in the morning, and again I didn’t try it because I don’t cook stuffed cabbage.
