Ingredients

Kefir 380 ml
Vegetable oil 1.5 tbsp. l.
Flour 600 g
Salt 1.5 tsp.
Sugar 4 tsp
Dry yeast 1.5 tsp.

Cooking method

  • Loaf weight - 1 kg, dark crust.
  • You can put any seed-nut additives in this bread, up to 50 g. If more, then it rises worse =)
  • Kolobok is always in control, but with this recipe I almost never add anything

The recipe is from the user manual for cotton, I bake this bread regularly, only I replace water with kefir and, accordingly, I do not put milk powder.
Roasted sunflower seeds were added to the bread in the photo. Bon Appetit!

Julia, I have a Kenwood 450 bread maker. I tried to bake bread with kefir according to your recipe. Before that, only dry milk was obtained. And according to your recipe, it turned out wet and small. I put on 1 program, weight 1 kg and a dark crust. The gingerbread man was excellent. What is the reason for the failure?

Thank you! Baked for the 2nd time. (Kenwood 900) First time by book (French bread) - threw it away. And I liked this recipe, and the bread turned out to be very good with a wonderful crust. I want to try equal parts kefir with water. Or 2/3 kefir and 1/3 water. It seems to me that it should turn out better, more airy Thanks again !!!

This bread has expired in Kenwood 250. Well done. But on water with milk powder I still like it better. It is more airy. Although, you can try changing the proportions of kefir / water. I took 2/1. And next time you can put more sugar too. I still want a sweeter for my taste
