Green beans in olive oil

Green beans in olive oil

Ingredients

Green beans 500 g
Medium onion heads 2 pcs.
Big tomatoes 2 pcs.
Sweet green pepper 1 PC.
Sugar 2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Refined vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l.
Unrefined olive oil 2-3 st. l.

Cooking method

  • Trim the ends of the beans, if there are threads on the sides, remove. Large pods can be cut into 2-3 pieces. Fry finely chopped onions in refined oil. Add coarsely chopped peppers. Peel the tomatoes, chop finely, add to the onion and stew a little. Add beans, salt, sugar, mix well.
  • I cook beans in a regular pressure cooker on a gas stove. Cooking time is 20 minutes.
  • If you cook this dish in an ordinary saucepan, then add a little water and simmer until the beans are soft.

  • When the beans are ready, let them cool slightly and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Serve cold.

Note

Among the variety of Turkish dishes, a special place is occupied by vegetable dishes cooked in olive oil. Here is my version of cooking one of them.

Bon Appetit! Afiyet Olsun!

I cooked it while putting it on plates, my son ate his portion, I had to share with him, my husband ate in silence. At the end of a quick lunch, everyone said in unison that it was not enough. (They usually eat green beans badly) Thank you very much

And for me this recipe is a godsend! Since autumn, the freezer has been stuffed with beans, already chopped, and the sweet pepper there, from the dacha, all hands did not reach ... But tomorrow I will definitely cook, only my tomatoes are crushed, Italian. And, in general, this recipe reminded me of very tasty Greek canned food, in small cans, I ate, ate, ate them before the sanctions ...
