Rabbit stew with rosemary

Ingredients

Rabbit 1.5KG
Dried mushrooms (I took honey mushrooms) 30 g
Onion 3 pcs.
Garlic 3 prongs
Butter 30 g
Bacon (I took lard) 100 g
Cream (not added at all) 100 ml
Love. sheet 1 PC.
Rosemary 2 twigs
Salt, ground pepper
Tarhun 2 twigs

Cooking method

  • Divide the rabbit into portions, soak in water for 2 hours. Cut the bacon into strips and fry in a pan + diced onion + diced garlic until golden brown. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the rabbit. We put the fried rabbit + lava in a cast iron. leaf + salt + pepper + mushrooms, pour 2 tbsp. water and spread the frying on top. Simmer over low heat for 2.5 hours. Turn off and immediately add the cream, do not boil. The first time I cooked in a cast iron, and the second in a slow cooker.

Note

I want to share this recipe, the rabbit turns out to be spicy and juicy: nyam: I also cooked a rabbit in cream, just with onions and carrots, but somehow it’s not right, but this recipe was to my taste

Natasha, thanks for the rabbit! Meat is not a frequent guest on our table, so I didn't know how best to cook it. Your recipe pleased me, although there was no rosemary or tarragon in the house. Yes, I didn't add cream either, because as soon as they finished the pork in milk. The rabbit was young, cooked for exactly 1 hour, in a cast-iron cauldron. Thanks again!
