And, so you need buttons on the sides for paging, but I thought - the keyboard is at the bottom.
Well, I look through my catalog with books, look at books with a touch-screen, looking for buttons with buttons. The first thing that caught my eye was PocketBook PRO 603 Touch Screen, there are buttons on the side for paging, though only on the right. And below there is a joystick.

Sony Reader PRS-900 - buttons at the bottom, really.

Or Barnes & Noble Nook Wi-Fi + 3G 6 "- it itself is not touch-sensitive, as I understand it, but at the bottom it has another TFT screen for menus, etc., that's where touch control is. Some of the girls here There is one, I don’t remember who.

I added about Nook above, read my previous post. And I look from what I have in the price list. There are more of them in general, books. Although, I have a lot.

Pockets, Kindly and Nuki are the most popular book companies, as far as I understand from our forum. But many take other books for themselves, and they are also satisfied.

But there is one drawback to a large email. books - you can't carry them in your purse, it's uncomfortable. That is why they make such a format of books - like a pocket book, so that it is convenient to carry with you.

I don't know how to read to music, so I didn't even think about this option. if so, yes, you need sound in the book.
And about audio books, then everything is also individual here. For example, I do not perceive them. For me, this is not a book, a book is what you read with your eyes. And many people love it very much. Therefore, here you need to decide for yourself what exactly you need from email. books. As soon as I decided for myself that I don't need a touchscreen, I don't need a sound, I don't need a bunch of memory gig for books, and I don't need a battery that holds for a month or two either, I'm not going to a deserted island yet. My Nuka has a headphone jack, an E-Ink screen that saves the eyes.

The fact that each book has its own one native format (for Kindles, this is mobi, for Nukes, this is epub) - so it gets by with firmware.

If the phrase "you need to flash" confuses, then take Pocket - everything is supported there at once.
We just didn't want to overpay half the cost for Pocket just for what we ourselves could do in 10 minutes, we asked for both Nook and Kindle, and they both now read all the necessary formats, no problem.

By the way, I have never used headphones, I do not perceive books by ear.

She does this after some delay in flipping, that is, if you read the page for a long time or get distracted in the process. When you "swallow" page after page it is not. Check it out, just flipping through the pages in a row.

About the Pockets breaking ... I don't even know what to say. We have 3 pieces in the family, all different models, all in constant operation - everything is ok! The other day my warranty was running out, so I decided to visit the service center for minor flaws: the paging key flips through once (although I don't always press the claws correctly) and the page after several hours of reading in a row with a dictionary (this is an additional significant load on screen) periodically turned pale. They took, changed the "brains" just in case under warranty, now everything is like new. Although it did not bother me much before that. Two more questions: do you want it to be convenient to carry anyone in your purse? I'm talking about screen sizes. You have an almost 10-inch screen on your list. Reading something from this is cool, probably, like a regular-sized book, but carrying it with you is.

Anya, cross these three Pocketbooks from your list (they are not sensory!):

Barnes & Noble Nook 3G - take away, why would you pay for 3G, which is still not free, in the sense of the Internet.

At my suppliers, the weight writes - 213 g for Kindle 4 Touch.
The memory of the Touch version is 4 GB + you can insert a card (although in the internet it says that it is impossible, you will understand figs). The non-Touch version has 2 GB, the card cannot be inserted.
