Ossetian plum pie


Plum 500 g
Wheat flour 150 g
Adyghe cheese * 150 g
Kefir (yogurt) 125 g
Butter 35 g
Eggs 3 pcs.
Sugar 100 g
Baking powder 1 tsp
Soda on the tip of a knife

Cooking method

  • Grease the mold (I have a silicone d28cm) with butter.
  • Remove seeds from plums (I have prunes), cut into 4 pieces.
  • Arrange the plums in a circle, placing each on its side.
  • Ossetian plum pie
  • If the plums are sour, sprinkle with sugar (I did not sprinkle them).
  • Beat eggs with sugar until sugar is completely dissolved and foam forms.
  • Add cheese, grated on a coarse grater.
  • *Yes, the Ossetians will forgive me, but I did not find cheese in our village. Therefore, I replaced it with 100g. dry homemade cottage cheese and 50g. suluguni cheese, grated on a coarse grater (simply because it was lying around in the refrigerator).
  • Then add kefir (yogurt), melted butter and flour mixed with baking powder and baking soda.
  • Mix everything thoroughly. The consistency of the dough is like pouring thick sour cream.
  • Pour the plums with the resulting dough.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200C for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly in a baking dish and turn onto a plate. I have only one plum stuck to the mold, but everything lagged behind normally.

I liked the pie, I think the plum is not an obligatory filling, you can also make it with apples, I really liked the dough in terms of composition and taste. I think I will do it more than once.
