  • Backerbse - "baked peas" - the traditional soup dough filling in German, Austrian and Swiss cuisine in the form of deep-fried balls of dough the size of peas.
  • For the preparation of bakerbsee, a batter made from flour, chicken eggs, milk and salt is used, sometimes with the addition of vegetable oil. The dough is passed through a flat grater into boiling fat. The resulting "peas" are deep-fried until golden brown, then the fat is allowed to drain. Bakerbzee is added to broths and soups just before serving. Ready-made buckerbirds have been available since 1953. Can be used as a beer snack, added to salads or as "seeds".

We mix all the products on the list and cook until golden brown! The amount of flour added will determine the fluidity of the "peas" through the mold, I added 30g and the dough itself flowed into the butter, if the dough is denser, then the peas should be squeezed out with a scraper and they will be firmer after baking, mine turned out to be airy. Did 1 portion came out about 400 ml of "peas". I spread the dough at a time 1 table without a slide, fried in a 1 liter ladle.
