Lean pilaf with peas (+ video)

Rice 1 stack.
Onion 2 pcs
Carrot 2 pcs
Green pea 1can 400g
Vegetable oil 0.5 stack
Zira, coriander, turmeric, salt taste

Cooking method

Heat the oil in a cauldron or deep cast-iron pan, add cumin, coriander, turmeric and heat.
Add chopped onion, fry until golden brown.
Add carrots, cut into strips or grated on a coarse grater. Fry everything until the carrots are golden and soft.
Add a jar of liquid green peas, the cheapest one that is firm for the salad. Boil.
Pour the washed rice on top and pour hot water half a centimeter above the rice level. Season with salt to taste.
Cook without a lid until the water boils down to the level of rice. Then cover, reduce heat to a candle and cook for another half hour.
Mix the finished pilaf well, turn off the heat, cover and let stand for another 15 minutes.

Delicious, fragrant pilaf with canned green peas is a complete lunch or dinner not only for fasting people, but also for vegetarians and vegans. And due to the low cost of products, it is also very budgetary.

Thanks for the recipe) I love lean pilaf, with what I just didn’t do - with mushrooms, potatoes, broccoli, eggplant, but I didn’t try it with peas, I will definitely do it!
kavmins, try it, you won't regret it.
